My biggest problem with putting a routine together is music, even just to have for class. Im so tired of all the songs i hear on the radio that play over and over. Any suggestions? Send me playlist, links anything! It doesn’t matter what mind of music as long as it catches my attention. It’s so sad that I can’t think if anything on my own 🙁

Rather than using just a “song” how about either stringing parts of songs or music together? I have a bunch of those I did for fitness classes but they work for poling. Got tired of the same songs everyone else was using and playing them over & over again.

What I did for one girl a few months back, was I had her explaining her moves and then autotuned her voice placed over background music with small bits of commercial music. She used it in her class performance and everyone thought it was great! A lot of fun to create as well.

Have you checked out soundcloud.com I dont know how to describe the website but people create playlist and mixes and upload them there. I was in a music stump a few weeks ago and signed up for an account with them (Free) and found some cool stuff. Here is one that I really liked. https://soundcloud.com/richlism/sets/pole-dance-mix

I second soundcloud. Also, you can try to just do a radio set with Spotify by typing in a genre or specific artist and just let it play. You can do this with a paid Spotify account, or if you don’t want to buy a subscription, Spotify and Pandora both have free versions (you just get interrupted by commercials which is a drag when you are caught up in the dance moment). I will also put a link of my soundcloud account so you can check out my music and artists I follow- https://soundcloud.com/spin-gypsy. I mainly listen to electronic music, but I do have some folk, reggae, and jam music in there (if you can find it haha). If you like electronic music, some of my faves right now are Gramatik (he gives his music away for free!!), Ill-esha, Goosebumps, Alice Spacedoll, An-ten-nae, The Apnea, Big Gigantic, and Elfkowitz. I can name great music all day, but like I said, it’s mainly electronics. Oh, but, I’ve been into dancing to Rebelution, Tribal Seeds, and Iration a bunch lately; they are great reggae rock type bands.
