Music for pole demo
So I have some friends interested in learning some beginner pole from me. I am not certified but I would love to be someday. I have no job right now and can't afford to take any program or else I would. We have one studio around here, where I started, but I wouldn't recommend it to any of my friends as a "safe" learning environment. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif And lately, I have been getting the feeling that they don't really want me around (I have gone back and visited a couple times since I stopped going regularily). They don't return my calls anymore and they don't offer an open pole class that I could go to play on their high poles (my < 8ft ceiling just doesn't cut it all the time). So I'm really not a fan of them, and not about to send my friend's money into their pockets just so someone can get injured under their watch.
To be honest, I just want people to play with!!! I have no intention of trying to teach more advanced moves unless I get certified, but if I had someone interested in taking "real" lessons, I would have a reason to put in the financial investment. So anyway, I have made up a pole teaser class to give them a taste of what it is we love to do. At the end of the class, I would like to have a choreographed demo to showcase some of what I have learned and would like to share with them. And for that I need a song…and I need some help choosing one. I tend to listen to classic rock, and other non-mainstream music. I'd like a song that is more popular though, something the girls will recognize and enjoy. Something upbeat, not sappy, emo, or slow. I want it to cement the fact that they (hopefully) had a good time, and make them want to come back.
With all that in mind, my hubby has suggested "Bring me to Life" by Evanescence. It's a good starting point, I like it, but want more suggestions. So bring them on. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
