My Bachelorette Weekend

11 girls and I travelled to see the Irish Pole Championships! It was AWESOME!!!! I loved every second of it! It was my first time seeing pole dancers live! And I can tell you I wasnt disappointed!! There were 3 levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. There were about 7/8 competitors in each category! The whole thing was just brilliant! After the show one of my girlfriends told me that during most of the show I had a ‘happy goofy’ look on my face! I certainly felt happy anyway! The girls found it very amusing that every so often I would turn to them and say, "Why is she not pointing her toes?"or "She should point her toes!", etc. For the competition they wanted to focus on the fitness side of pole dancing so none of the competitors were allowed to wear heels, they were either barefoot or wore footwear such as trainers or poms. My favourite dancer of all the competitors was the last girl who performed. She was in the advanced category. Unfortunately she didnt win! She came 2nd! To me, the majority of my friends and the girl who does pole lessons with me,+ she was the clear winner but the judges has other ideas. The girl who did win was really good and had loads of energy. She’s well known so she got a lot of ‘reaction’ from audience so I think that might have influenced the judges decisions. The championships was in a nite club so when it was over we danced the night away. A random guy came over and performed a magic show for us! He was really hot!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Then we went back to our hotel and the girls surprised me with loads of little gifts. I had to guess who got each gift and when I got it wrong I had to drink some of my drink! I only got 2 right!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif I wasnt too drunk though thank God. I dont drink very often anymore so I took it easy all night. I didnt drink at all during the competition cause I didnt want to ruin it! I wanted to remember and enjoy every part! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
Saturday we came home on the bus and a lot of the girls came to my house. The girls got me to show them some moves on the pole and then we had pizza and nibbles. I started to get really tired and I knew Id have to do something to perk myself up (because we were going out that night too) so I went into my pole room and did a work out! Then after that we did a great drinking game and my fiance and his brother drove us to the night club. We danced the night away there and then came home where we played more drinking games!! We didnt go to bed til 8am Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh I’m so jealous! I just got married this past October, and I didn’t get any sort of bachelorette party at all… on top of that, my family had concert tickets for the night before my wedding, so I was home alone with the baby for the night. *sigh*
My husband, on the other hand, got "kidnapped" by his buddies and was taken out to every bar in the area. Got smashed… he was massively hungover for the ceremony https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

I’ve been married for 2 years + and didn’t have a hens party. refused to. So you can feel safe in the knowledge that you’re not alone.
This year, I have taught at more hens parties than I have ever been to in my life!!

Wow Trena, was that the awesomest bachlorette party ever or what!!! sounds like you have really cool friends too.. i’m so happy for you that you had a such a great time and did so much over one weekend! wish i could’ve been there too!
