I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem with thier pole… The pole peices seem to fit together fine, and then as soon as I try to tighten them (in increments, alternating between each pole with the hex key), they pread apart enough to fit my fingernail in between and cause the pole to have give when I pull on it (to test stability).

A friend came over and managed to get the A pole and B pole peices together using the pressure from the ceiling.  The seam was spread apart from when I put the poles together, then we put the pole up and tightened it to the ceiling…then loosened them a bit under the pressure of the cieiling and retightend them.  The ceiling pressure seemed to be enough to push them together BUT…I also have an extension and even with ceiling pressure, the peices won't stay together, so I can't use the pole without being concerned I'll ruin it.

Anyone expreienced this?  Also…the extension/B pole seam doesn't open evenly.  One side stays tight and the other opens a bit, which feels even more risky for the pole.

    THoughts?

when you tight the joints you have to go a litte bit  a time with each one , if you tight them all the way right away, its gonna do a little space

so i i do a turn with one , then tight the other, come back to the first one ect…..

Thank you Olivia.  I guess I wasn't clear.  I was doing that, and it still spread apart.

Put the pole vertical then press down on the top piece as you slowly tighten the pieces.

THis is a new one for us. Always learning.

The only thingwe can think of is that the white foam peices we put inside tubes are being compressed by the joint and pushing the joint out effectively creating a gap. Other than that we are at a loss.

Do not worry we will solve it / get it sorted for you.

First please look inside the tube ends. The foam peices shoudl be at least 5" – 6" inside. You can measure it with a tape.  If not push them down they are not fixed – pushing the joint in should have moved them if they were not far enough down but if not push they down using someting else.

If this does not work please can you take some photos of the inside of the tubes, your joint and showing the problem. Send them to X-Pole USA who will assist or to mailto:xpoletech@x-pole.co.uk.

Hope teh above sort it for you if not please contact your closest office by phone (Proberably best) or email.
