My First!!!!!!
Whoo! I did my first SM and my first superman! I was so mad, my camera got moved and cut my head and arms off, so I had to re-record and of course was more tired the second time but…I still posted my video–another first!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/bom.gif
I do have a question tho– when I first got the SM earlier this evening, I tried a different (easier) grip than I did in my video. Now I think the princess grip is like the baseball grip, but your top arm is extended, correct? I did something similar to that, but I moved that top arm from the right side of the pole to the left (crossing in front) and my wrist was twisted (so both palms were on the same side of the pole). What is that called? It’s a very strong grip, but it makes it hard to do an inverted "V" because that arm gets in the way.

I’ve never heard of that grip (in all of my extensive research…) Veena does a grip that’s similar except her top hand is on the back of the pole – so your palm is facing you if the pole wasn’t there. Fleur called it the "Veena Grip" in one of their pole jam videos. But hey, whatever works for you! Once you get stronger with it I’m sure you’ll be able to do any grip you want.
