Yes be excited. I do like the idea of having both eventually but will start with the 50 mm. I did my first shoulder mount on the 50mm at class not long ago (i was so excited) so I know I can at least work on that at home 🙂

I've been thinking about this ALL day at work. I was for sure going to get the 50mm but after reading Aerial Amy's blog… Maybe I should get the 45 since I am quite petite and have very tiny hands…. I'm 4'9" and the studio I go to has brass poles and I always use the 50mm one. Since it's the grippiest pole, I really have no issues clinging on for hand grips and inverts. Some spins I have issues with but I eventually overcome that. Now I worry that because I'll be buying an xpole chrome, I may have issues with gripping and all that fancy jazz if I get a 50mm. Ack! Ewa, are there any other nearby studios at which you could try out other poles?
The only size brass pole X-Pole sells is a 45mm, so that could solve both issues lol! I've only ever used chrome so I just decided to get what I was familiar with.

Well my friend as as 45 mm xpole xpert chrome and I've swung around on that a few times and it feels pretty good. I really like the size, but it's still really slippery when cold and sometimes I don't have the secure and proper grip for some spins and it scares me. I feel like I slide a lot on the 45… And because I slide a lot on the 45 I'm going to go ahead and assume that 50 will just frustrate me cause I won't be able to do anything.

I did it!!! I ordered my first pole yesterday. I looked at the poles in class again yesterday and on the 50mm my thumb and middelfinger touch without trying hard (I always thought they did not ).
Anyway so I went with the 50mm TG expert ……… I am sooooo sooo sooo excited https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

i bet i cudnt hold on to a 50 if i tried! lol but i hav very small hands… a 45 is all ill ever want! hav fun with ur new pole! very exciting!!
