Sensual- I had the same issues with NEW x-poles that i had bought for my studio…within one or 2 spins, the pole was bowing out, and it bubbled out where the pieces connect. This was in June. It was brought to X-poles attention. They saw what happened with the poles IN PERSON. Read my blog about it. I dont want to post too much about it on the forum. They know about the problems with the poles, and i havent seen any changes due to customer complaints.
As far as platinum stages goes, i really love their poles, and i feel like the xpoles becoming damaged immediately upon installation was a blessing in disguise. I havent had issues with the poles at all. I have 4 stainless steel, and 2 brass permanents. I also have the new EZ Connect star stand alone, and its SOOOOOO good. The ez connect is really genius. I feel really safe on it, and i dont have to worry about joints slipping, etc. There is literally NO way the 2 pieces can come apart. You can see my video about it on youtube by searching "platinum stages ez connect."

Lizzy – I appreciate your input. It sounds like you had the same exact issues I am having! I had the bubble at the joint, I had stripped joints/rotated joints, my pole is clicking in spin mode, and now it is bowing. Yet they try to blame it on me overtightening it (which I did not.) I am glad to hear you love your PS poles! I have made a descision to sell my x pole once I get the defective piece replaced. I spoke with a studio in Portland, and I am going to drive up there soon to try out their PS poles. They have the earlier stage, but it will at least let me know what it feels like to dance on a stage. They have all 4 sizes and finishes of poles (ss/brass, 50mm and 45mm) and the owner said that I can go play on them to see what they are like to help me with my pole decision making. I have been on the phone with PS several times and they said that they DO make the multi piece in top loading still, since some people are not fond of the adjustor cover, which I do not think I would be. My major descision is really whether I want the multi-piece or the stage. If I got the stage, I can get both poles to swap out 😀 This sais studio, and the other studio I have talked to BOTH say that PS is who they trust. I'll definately read your blog!
