  • My pole makes clicking sound on spin. What to do?

I put up my pole almost 2 weeks ago and had about 2 practises on it and it started making a clicking sound on spin. First it would only click every once ina while and only if I had my full weigh on the pole but now its just enough to turn it with my hands and its getting worse.

It is a new pole an this is the second time I put it up. I was really careful when I was packing it and unpacking it and putting it up. I havent taken the pole down since this started about a week ago. Only done a few spins on it.

Is this common and can I make it stop somehow?

It might be too tight against the ceiling.  Also, I would double check that it is completey level all the way around 🙂

Just tried that. Made it perfectly level and  untightened a bit but still clicking. What now? :S

Not sure how to fix it, but my pole studio has the same weird resistance/clicking on all of their poles on spin mode.  Can't say I notice it once I get going through…

When you tighten your pole, it should be only wound up to the point where you feel resistance, you shouldn't ever have to use a lot of muscle to put it up. Then I just shake the pole back and forth to make sure the base on the ceiling isn't moving.

I would losen it all the way up and try one more time.  The only time I have ever experienced clicking is when the pole is too tight to the ceiling.

If that doesn't work, I would contact x-pole or whoever makes your pole and get some info from them.  If the pole is new, they should be able to send you new parts or whatever it needs.

I took the pole down. The sound came from either the top dome or the top xjoint. So I took it down and reinserted the locking pins on the xjoint and put it back up. Spent about 15 minutes leveling the pole 🙂 It felt like forever and tighened the pole less tighter then I had before and the sound stopped! 😀

    Im so relieved !

    Thank you 🙂
