Is that a one piece pole or is it two pieces that assembly together like an xpole or platinum?

I just had occasion to try lil mynx poles for the first time, they are installed at Maureen’s BLUSH pole fitness in Milwaukee (West Allis), WI. She has lil mynx poles that use the ceiling extender mounts on her hardwood dance floor, using the rubber pad. I felt completely secure on the poles. Joel (poledancefan) also uses those poles with no problem and he is not a small guy- taller than me (5’8″) with big muscles. He must weigh 250lbs though I’m bad at guessing weight, I’d say he’s easily over 200lbs. I weigh about 120, but at my height I can and have taken poles down just from the leverage a taller body can exert on a pole in extended spins and such.
Anyway, the lil mynx poles at Blush have been there for quite some time. She has students of ALL body types and sizes and everyone uses those poles securely. I am a pole safety stickler, those who know me know that I have NOT been shy or quiet about saying what I did not like about some poles I have used before and lil mynx poles are sturdy poles, some of the least expensive on the market, that will securely hold you for years if installed correctly.

The only caveat I would say is that, for permanent mounting I see the value in using their four-point mout, as I know some others have had issues with having the home-mount that is single point work loose after some time, even if screwed into a joist. But I think that’s a matter of checking your rigging regularly, which we should all do, even those of us with permanent one-piece poles. 🙂

Also I’ll say the only instances I know of where people had the single point mount come loose when screwed into a joint, that was with YEARS of having the pole in the same spot.

My first pole was a hot pink LM.  The old instructions used to have you tightening the pole further while it was up.  What this would do is score your ceiling where the white piece sits and then with time that piece of drywall would break loose creating a gap and your poel would come crashing down.  LM has since changed their installation directions to where you no longer spin the pole to make it tighter while it is up.  I have not heard of a single person who has destroyed their ceiling since they changed their instructions.

That said, I had mine installed in my garage directly in a joist (no drywall ceiling in my garage) for over 3 years without it ever shifting or coming down on me.  I am 5'8" and weigh anywhere between 150 and 165.  Mine was installed on top of a piece of panelling that sat on top of of concrete.  I did not use the pad, just the feet.  As with all poles, if you follow the directions for installation and check them regularly you should be fine.

As another side note, S Factor has had LM poles in their studios since day 1.  6 years ago you had PS and LM and PS were ridiculously expensive poles (their old wooden stage poles used to be $1500!!).

I'm glad to hear they fixed the problem with the mount! If that applied only to their older model then anything I said about the mount working loose obviously is totally irrelevant to their new model. I also really like how their new spin mechanism looks. Seems like they may have found a simpler way to do it that looks like it eliminates a lot of the other problems with other spin/static mechanisms, like you can't loose pins or screws and there doesn't appear to be any way to damage the pole by "improperly" doing the spin/static switch because there's nothing you're screwing in. And it looks like a fast, easy change.

Yes pdr it no longer applies to the new style pole we are selling. I would think you would know better, I won’t sell just anything! :/

Oh my gosh I am SO excited about this pole!  I'm going to be moving to Florida and renting an apartment, so I love the fact that it only uses one screw to mount!  Not to mention the color is gorgeous and the finish is exactly what I've been wanting.  I slip a lot on my chrome pole and I'm tired of using iTac.  Powder coating sounds perfect for me.  I cannot wait to purchase this pole!

I have the vaulted ceiling mount, but I think all of the lil mynx poles attach to any of the lil mynx mounts? LOL, sort of a statement question there.

Congrats! It seems like a perfect pole for that particular situation: anyone who needs to be able to put it up and take it down often, in the same location with a fixed ceiling height.

My Xpole stays up, so the installation and removal time doesn't matter so much to me. And I knew I wanted lots of ceiling height variability in case we move again (which I know we will). So the Xpole is perfect for me. I think there is really a pole for every situation! And if not, someone will invent another one. 🙂
