That happens sometimes. Poor Glitter got the shoulder mount, got it on tape and everything, but then couldn’t do it at all for like 6 weeks! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif She just recently was able to do it again, but it’s still hit and miss. It’s very common, so just maybe leave it be for a couple days and try again. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif You’ll get it again.

Thanks Foxy, I am frustrated, It is like I’m back to square one when my hips just don’t stay up there, I’m gonna have to just leave it alone ’cause it’s gonna make me cry. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

I know how frustrating it is (believe me!). Try not to be so hard on yourself. It’s always good to leave something alone for a bit and work on something else–a spin or a transition or pirouettes. Being back at Square One isn’t so bad! The basics are things that we all need to go back to all the time. Try to be patient. I "got" the caterpillar and then lost it for, like, 5 months. And besides, I think the concept of mastering a move is a misnomer. I mean, I know how to walk around the pole and so I think I’ve "mastered" it, but I can’t guarantee that I won’t ever trip or run into the pole (I swear I’ve done that a bunch of times…totally sober, too!). I think that’s what’s exciting about this art: you kind of get a chance to get in touch with yourself every time you get onto the pole and some days are incredible and others, not so much.

sometimes I’m so amused by you "advanced" folks fretting over your little "advanced" moves.

I’m happy to get my damn feet off the ground! LOL

Don’t be so hard on yourself. If it was easy everyone would do it.

    …….I like that phrase.
