I LOVE heels, I’m always looking through the catalogue for new ones https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif I prefer dancing in them.

BUT, I always do new moves barefoot or moves I don’t feel I’ve trully mastered. Also, when I dance at home on my carpet I don’t wear heels, it’s just a pain!

I know we’re all pretty comfortable with each other now but when I read that headline and first sentence…. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif

I would love to dance in high heels, but I don’t have proper dance shoes. I only own two high heels and they’re both stilettos so I worry about landing hard and snapping off the heel. I do sometimes dance in heels but only for spins. I kinda like dancing in bare feet anyway, I feel like a graceful hobo https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rabbit.gif

I have to say…i LOVELOVELOVE my 8" and 8 1/2" heels, they were so hard to walk in way back when, but even now, they make me stand up straighter and make my short legs feel a lot longer and sexier! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheese.gif

Though I’m with Fleur on practicing bare foot until I master the moves I’m working on. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

    Depends on the mood…
My 8up cherry doc Martins are a fav. sole is worn down enough to allow pirouettes. and they look very cute with pole shorts. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif guess my punk roots are emerging, again…
7inch ankle boots are great and I’m looking for a pair of over knee shiny PVC for climbs etc.

Loathe sandals, feel like there’s no support.
    Knee boots rule too.

Barefeet for pretty much everything else, esp new moves. Teach newbs in barefeet.

oh yeah, have to watch the legs when wearing heels, have already hospitalised one woman doing a goddess and connecting with her ankle (gash 7cm long x 1cm deep)

Usually naked or socks cuz my stage is metal and sometimes chilly. I LOVE the way my 5 inch pleasers make me look taller and toner, but mostly save them for "performances" for the hubby.

    I like heels, but…
    I dunno.

I always seem to peg my legs or scratch myself. Basically if I want to be sexy, I’ll throw on the heels. If I want to get work done, I go barefoot for my safety.

All my pleasers leave little marks on the floor, too. Way not cool, nonslip stuff! So I have to go back around and buff my floor with a teenie cloth! NOT COOL.

I like dancing in heels if I can, but with my current pole heels would make me just too tall to use it at all! Haha =P I do use them for my "sexy floor work" exercise, they add weight and a balance challenge… lol! I have a great pair of 7 1/2" heels from Highest Heel that are sooo comfortable. Leather, padded sole, with a raised area under your toes to hold your foot in place… great shoes.

I love heels!! Just got two new pairs in yesterday as a matter of fact (7" are my fav). New moves are def done naked…

Something about heels just makes posture and body positioning in moves feel so much stronger!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

    NAKED!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif (feet, anyway)

I can barely even walk in heels… I do some dancing in one pair of heels I bought specifically for poling, but my feet hurt after 5 minutes… I hate heels. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_silent.gif I’m a jeans, t-shirt and sneakers kinda gal and avoid wearing heels whenever possible.

I should add I do like do dance in boots too… but not my knee high…they tend to slip down, not good I’ve almost fallen a few times. My favorite boots are my black thigh highs. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I have the same problem with knee high boots unless they are stiff tops and lace up but then the rivets scratch the pole https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

I usually dance naked because of the carpet issue – it’s too difficult and my stilettos get caught up – my chunky heel boots are okay but I am also dealing with a light fixture right next to my pole and I don’t want to accidently smash a light bulb – lol!

Ankle sport socks are nice too – I use them a lot – knee high socks when I feel sexy. I also use legwarmers as much as possible.

I have ballet slippers which are great for dancing and I can still split heel and cupid in them so they would be ideal I think because pole does do a number on feet.

    Naked, for sure.
I find it beautiful to see dancers in heels, boots and all, but I can fall from my pole heels (6") just walking on them – which is strange in a way because I have no problems with ‘normal’ heels… It is my plan, though, to start practicing with heels (as soon as I get better and can start practicing again)

I dance with naked feet!! I recently bought a pair of 6" platforms cause they were on sale in a shop in town but they had some cork on the heel and I didnt like it so I painted it. I went to dance in them when they were fully dry only to discover that the paint was rubbing off on the carpet during some of my floor work. So then I avoided the floor moves and started to invert in them only to discover that the paint was coming off on my pole! Moral of the story: if you’re gonna wear heels on the pole buy ones that you dont have to paint! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
Im gonna buy a proper pair of shoes online as soon as I can afford it (money tight with wedding and stuff). I cant wait to buy them though, I had fun dancing in my ‘painty’ heels. (They’re not gone to waste, I wear them when Im going out now and have gotten awesome compliments on them! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
