How do you ladies know the names of all these tricks and how can I learn them?! Is there some sort of database that includes names and pics/vids of tricks? I’ve been poling for over a year, but for whatever reason, my classes never focused on names of tricks.

My husband just got stationed in RURAL Germany, so I’m out here in the middle of nowhere, with no pole studio within 2 hours and I would LOVE to have a one-stop go-to site for learning new tricks (and their names, lol!)

Thanks a million for any advice, I’m sick of calling my moves something like, ‘twisted-grip-upside-down-leg-splits-thingy’!

    Veena's lessons

    wikipole.org

    pole dance dictionary

    pocket pole

    pfa flash cards

There is another one that I cannot think of at the top of my head right now.

Add Pole Dance Community's syllabus to that list.  They've got some unique moves on there (and, unfortunately, call some things by names other than the standard) but it's still a good resource.

The Pole Dance Community has come out with a book as well. The launched with about 50 books which sold out in a couple of days, and will begin a new distribution in February.

The book has images of how to get into the move along with alternate names the moves are known by.

Where can we get info on the book and the release?

For some reason I can't get my link to paste on here…

Sign up/like The POle Dance Community USA on facebook where we will post updates.

You can also email mailto:Info@PoleDanceCommunity.com – put the word "book" in the subject and ask to be on the waiting list.
