Hey everyone! So I'm really interested in learning how to pole dance, and I would love to be able to take a class but I'm having trouble finding a place in Mississippi. Does anyone know of any place? The other option I've considered is buying a pole for my apartment, but I'm not sure what the best kinds are to get. Any advice would be great! I'm also a college student so the less money I have to spend, the better.

I think a platinum stages or xpole are the best (I have a removable platinum s). Also when it comes to a pole it's not so great to go with cheaper brands because even screwed in they come loose while using them. Maybe you can check on pole forums or your local classifieds to see if someone is selling the better brands second hand in order to save a bit. If you sign up with studio Veena you can learn from beginner to advance levels at a low cost. I switched from classes to online lessons because of my schedule and I learned just as well at home as I did in class.

Lil Mynx is also a cheaper, but still secure option compared to PS and X poles if budget is a big concern…..

I did a few posts about the companies, materials, and diameters of poles in hopes of helping people in your situation.

    Diameters: http://flexines.blogspot.com/2013/02/pole-diameters_25.html

    pole brands: http://flexines.blogspot.com/2013/02/what-pole-brand-is-for-me.html

    pole materials: http://flexines.blogspot.com/2013/01/what-pole-material-do-i-get.html

Ad for classes, if you get your own pole, Veena's lessons are very good. I use them myself.
