TLizzard – I just scrounged up the money to buy my first workshop – It’s with Charlee Wagner (the Saturday workshop!). I’m extremely excited, and I’m hoping to get maybe one more workshop in.

She is one of the ones on my list. I’m looking at her, Amber Ray, Lou Landers and Phoenix Kazree. I haven’t taken workshops before and want to get the most out of them – just not sure who is really good and who would be so advanced I’d feel lost. I’m going to figure it out this week – I’ve been asking around but haven’t gotten much feedback yet. Looking forward to the event, regardless we will all have fun!

Hey TLizzard – I followed you over here from our conversation about Cleo, haha! I highly recommend Phoenix Kazree. I did a tricks workshop with her at West Australian Pole Camp and she was most excellent at demonstrating and breaking down every move. She’s a very clear and kind teacher 🙂

Thanks Mulan! I want to sign up for at least two so I’m glad you can give me some insight on Phoenix. Thanks again for all your help and have a great week!

I’m nervous about that too – I don’t want a class to be super advanced, and then I can’t keep up. That, or sometimes when I go to a studio the instructor has a super hard warm up and I physically cannot keep up.. it feels so crappy when you can’t even get through the warm up, ya know? I’m just unsure of what would be at my level. I’m considering Phoenix and Lou as well, and I’m really looking to Derick’s “static pole flow” workshop – his style is super cool!

Sierra- I signed up for Phoenix and thinking of Lou as well. I’m trying to decide on Lou, Amber Ray, Cleo and Charlee (I think you signed up for hers already). I sent a fb message to Cleo about her classes and the level needed and she responded once and now waiting for her follow up. I’ll let you know what she says. See if Derick is on fb and message him – you can find out the level of difficulty before you pay for a class you are concerned you might not be suited for. I want to do Cleo (she seems like she would be fun) but doing right after Phoenix might be a killer – lol

Heard back from Cleo – she said her advanced flex workshop is splits based, middle and front. Don’t’ need an overspilt but close to the splits or flat splits is recommended. Intermediate workshop is a more basic workshop but a comfortable invert is recommended. Hope this helps!

Sierra – which time slot did you take with Charlee? I’m thinking of taking Amber’s on Saturday morning just haven’t bit the bullet yet 🙂

Nevermind….I just re-read your post – Saturday…got it….hahahaa

No one? I’m sure it’s going to be a lovely room, and a great time! 🙂
Tlizzard- Yeah, that’s the one I’m taking! If I can get the roommate for PoleCon I think I will be flying over to Vegas for Pole Expo as well!

As the date gets closer hopefully someone will be looking for a roommate……still three months out.

… maybe I’m just weird. But when I plan a trip I usually have all the details banged out six months ahead of time, down to where I’m eating.. I think I learned it from my mom. We had our trips to Disney planned to a T nine months out. I didn’t realize this wasn’t normal! Haha, totally my fault!

No… I’m with you. I’m a total planner but my other half is fly by the seat….drives me insane. Sometimes it’s great and you end up doing things so unexpected…but when it comes to wanting to do stuff that is structured or “special”….you have to plan in advance……
