As a classic overthinker, I’m thinking about how to fill out my pole competition entry form almost 2 months before the due date. I’ve got a blog post with the long detailed version, but as a quick question out of context, if you attend 3 physical studios plus teach yourself stuff, plus practically live on the Studio Veena website, which studio should you represent in a pole competition?

    a) The studio you first went to for a year (last year), got you hooked on pole, still attend casually and are a childhood friend of the owner

    b) The only studio you currently attend for formal lessons (not casual practice classes), one of the biggest influences on your competition routine, and also the organizer and host of the competition

    c) Studio Veena, where you spend most of your time, and you get the most inspiration and personal advice and is the other big influence on your routine (well, SV and the internet in general)

    d) List yourself as independent, because while you have attended multiple studios, you don’t feel specifically loyal to any, and try to be a friend of all studios, but your own dancer first and foremost.

    e) List all your studios and represent them all.

Bear in mind that options d) and e) are really weird and to my knowledge have never been done before.

Choice E is the only way to make everyone happy,  I work for two studios and when submitting my bio for the midwest pole competition I listed my 3 affiliations.  I am certified through Empowerment Through Exotic Dance and I work at PoleFIT Revolution and Vixen Fitness.  I wanted to be sure to mention everyone who has supported me.

Hope you find a way to put it all together I know we were limited on words so mine reads a little like a list of everyplace I've been lol!  😀

I think E is a good option. Technically you have been taught and supported by ALL the studios, so you could repay them by representing them all.

Thanks for the input! E is what I really want to put, and I certainly hope I'm allowed. (You know how deep down you already know what you want to do, but don't want to admit it until you see people agree with you? Just me?)

If I have to pick one, the studio running the comp is probably the most wise, but I just remembered  there's a section where you write a little introductory blurb about yourself to be read out on the night, and I can at least give everyone a shout out in my blurb!
