After seeing the leg trap in one of veenas videos in the bad kitty romper I decited to give it a try. I have my splits, my cupid is solid and shouldermpunt too. But since the video was cartoonish looking becasue of the effect im not sure what I am supposed to do.

I got into the cupid (right leg hooked), right hand holding the pole under the knee thumb facing up. Then I bent downwards putting my torso against the pole and took my left arm and hooked it around the thigh and pole, then when I start to try to get into the move I get in trouble. Am I maybe supposed to put my shoulder on the pole or hold the pole with the arm that goes around the thigh. I just don't get it what I am suppose to do.

Does anyone have a video that shows it better and maybe more angles? I neeeeeeed to get this move! 😛

Ohh these are very similar. Thanks, I might give those entries a try first but I really really would like to figure out how to get into it like she does in this video. It begins at about 00:35 https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/4df14652-f7cc-4f41-8439-25c50ac37250

i do the same entry in a vid i just posted, but i'm doing bottom hand cupped instead of elbow grip =) you need to end with your shoulder on the pole, so you can either drop into it and let yourself land on your shoulder (that's the way natasha wang does it) or you can set your bottom leg so that the pole crosses higher up on the thigh, so you can set your shoulder on the pole before you drop (that's the way jenyne taught it). if you're using your elbow, you want to make sure the pole is in the pit of your elbow before you drop.

seeing a vid of your progress would help!

Oh thanks that shows it off really good. 🙂 Now I just need to try again. The cupped grip seems easier also, it is my preferred grip in the sm at least. I'll video my next attempt and hope it will be a success 🙂

I also realize I wasn't putting my shoulder on the pole like I should have.

i find that with the double cupped, instead of having a bottom elbow grip, it's easier to pull back up to transition out of it =) good luck!

i think i tried this one, too. i just never realized that it is kind of a shoulder dismount xD i´ll tried again with amy´s description as i didn´t have a lot of luck with it last time. i always tend to clamp my arm  and end like a knot around the pole ^^

anytime, no prob! it's not that tough, it's just a little scary if you really drop it– but yeah, it's basically a shoulder dismount! =)
