  • New Platinum Stages Pole

    As a Christmas present, I received a brass platinum stages pole. I just opened it today…..the case was cracked in two places and when I checked out the pole, it too was slightly damaged. It has many small dings and scratches and some kind of brown looking stuff? I was wondering if other people had this problem with brass poles……since brass is "soft" does it often get damaged in shipping?

    I called Platinum Stages and the guy I spoke with was very nice and helpful. Apparently, I just have to take photos, send them in and they will ship me a new pole on Monday or Tuesday. I was kind of surprised as it seems most people say that Platinum Stages has pretty horrible customer service…..I guess I shouldn't speak too soon incase the new pole does not arrive in a timely manner, lol. I hope that the same thing does not happen to the new brass pole. However, as it was inside the case, it seems like the dings and scratches would have happened *prior* to shipping. Maybe I am just being too picky…..

    Yeah, that's platinum stages for ya!  I got my pole from them too, the first one was the wrong length, the second one had a jammed screw thread and cracked sleeve.  luckily they hadn't picked up the first one yet so I was able to switch the screw thread and sleeve.  otherwise I would have been "screwed" literally!  I will say that they are real easy about sending replacements, but it's still frustrating! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif

    Oh boy……thanks for the heads up! I will now be prepared if something is wrong with the next one they send, lol. I will just cross my fingers that the next one will be just fine….

    I hope your new pole will be perfect. 🙂  If not, they will send you a replacement again.  I dealt with Kim Arcement by email and she was great.  I told her I was not impressed with manufacturing, though.  I got the platinum stages 'cause I have a vaulted ceiling, and I thought it would be better than the l'il mynx pole.  I have no complaints with it and no problems so far (and don't anticipate any since I never take my pole down) so at least that's positive 🙂

    Kim emailed me as well and the pole is going to be picked up tomorrow. I'm glad to hear you haven't had any problems with your pole! There is hope! lol I can't wait to start making videos! 🙂
