UPDATE: I've tried the toothpaste idea for about a week now (that's four days of classes for me) and I've found that if I leave it on for a good 15 minutes and then wash it off the results are great. I do have to put on some dry hands eventually, but it's been a revelation.

As for the articles and skin contact, I do believe you use the toothpaste at your own risk. If anyone has any skin issues in the near future and they think it's from the toothpaste please post back on this thread! For me, I know it works, and I'm a happy girl πŸ˜€ <33

This seems to be working as a good grip aid for me. And might I add for those worried about it being on their sking for a few seconds before being washed off, let me remind everyone that you have mucus membranes (and skin) in your mouth which make absorbsion easy. And like with anything else you apply to your body, test in a small area first to see if you have a reaction to the product before you apply it to a larger area.

I tried it on stainless. Worked pretty good but I thought it would be better. Guess, I just needed to have the pole a bit warmer.  Then, I cleaned my pole and was stuck like glue! But after some time Dry Hands is necessary πŸ™‚

Yes, I did all that. I did my warm up not on the pole, so it was cold. I guess I just needed to warm it up. As I said, I later had good results πŸ™‚
