New To Pole!
Hello everyone I am BRAND new to pole, but I have been in love with the art for sooo long. I am 21 years old, and I took my first official pole class on the 21st. It feels like so long ago, and it gave me the final push to purchasing my own pole at home. I don’t have a lot of room so I’m going to have to make it work, but I am soooooo ready for this. I am currently at the highest weight i’ve ever been and I can’t wait for this self confidence boost,and workout.
I also can’t wait for my pole! :p
So, how long have you been poling?

Welcome to SV! (: I’ve been poling since August of this year, I’m at my highest weight too, which does not feel good ): I’m poling to tone up and hopefully lose it, I think the key is consistency ! It’s awesome that you have a great studio nearby, the lessons on here are such a valuable resource as well !

I’ve been poling for about 5 years… but I’ve not been really dedicated to it until about early December, so… I’m still working on some of my basics 😉
I love it, and I’ve been poling at home for a really long time. No classes in my area, and SV has been the best resource I’ve ever encountered!
I was “at my heaviest” about two years ago, and since then I’ve lost about ten pounds… and several inches. Please don’t EVER use your weight as a scale of fitness! You might weigh the same, but you sure won’t look the same! 😉
What kind of pole did you decide to get? -
yes tell us what pole you bought! I discovered pole last year, 2012, around march. And really loved it, but I can say that I’ve been poling for less than a year, considering pauses and stuff. This year I also bought my own pole so here I am!!! 2014 is my pole year 🙂
