Hello all! I am totally new to pole dancing, but definitely ready to take the first step and get my own pole.

When it comes to getting a pole I have been doing a lot of research. I have been scouring this and other forums for all the good and the dirt about a given pole. Some of my information might be an old issue so I was hoping to get any current views on these poles. My main concerns are that my new pole is very sturdy (I definitely have some pounds to lose) and that it spins nicely since that is the look I love in the videos that I have seen. I am also thinking I will need all the help with grip I can get. I live in Florida, so heat and humidity can often be an issue, but the AC is always on so the house actually stays pretty cool and dry.

I can’t seem to decide on which one of these 3 to get: X-Pole – Chrome, PS One Piece Super Pole – Brass or a Hardcore Pole, Removable Spinner – Brass.

At first I was pretty much sold on the X-Pole Chrome, but the 500mm extension I am going to need has not come in stock for a couple of weeks according to the website and I read that switching from static to spinny is a bit of a pain. The TG sounded good at first since I am looking for good grip, but then I read that the finish wears off and then becomes very slippery.

Next I got interested in the PS One Piece Super Pole particularly because of the static to spinny ease and because it comes in brass which seems like a nice material. Then, I read user reviews that the pin to switch from static to spinny is also a pain and that people were having to take the whole pole down to get it out. Also have concerns about reported lack luster customer service.

Hardcore Poles seem quite good, but not as many people using them for me to get a real feel for their quality.

Any advice to help me decide on one of these would be greatly appreciated! Thank you much! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_colors.gif

I love my chrome x-pole. I’m not strong enough to use spin yet, but of course on the first day I undid it to see what it spins like https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif I found it pretty easy to switch, just a few revolutions with the allen wrench on either side and it was spinnin’ free. I can’t imagine it would be too much of a hassle to use regularly. You might want to think about x-pole over a one-piece just in case you’re going to be putting it up someplace with a different ceiling height. I’m a senior in college and I know I for one will be checking out the ceiling heights in my school’s dance studios because students can reserve time in them and I realllly want to use those mirrors. I just don’t have a dedicated pole space to put up a mirror. And I definitely would not be able to travel to my parents’ house with a one-piece pole, I a little coupe it wouldn’t even fit in my car https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Just an update. Stock reports on the various websites can be a little bit off. We should be able to get you any extension you need. If you add the request in your notes when you purchase on our site we will send you a funds request for the additional extensions. One note there is no free shipping on the extensions.

the spin-to-static switch on the xpole takes about 20 seconds. i dont think you’ll be needing to switch it back and forth much faster than that?

and i second the points that poledanceromance made. xpoles are adjustable just by buying extensions, you can always replace the sections and get longer/shorter ones to suit your ceilings. also, you can take it with you (and it comes iwth a carrying case). when i bought mine (secondhand), i met the seller at a subway station and carried it home myself.
