New from Southern California

Hey Veeners! I'm new to pole, originally from the Los Angeles county area, currently in school in San Diego, but moving back home since I'm graduating in June. I was addicted after my first class, so I know pole is here to stay in my life. I was wondering, how did you tell your friends/parents/family about pole and how did they respond? I have yet to tell my parents, but I know that I should sometime. I've told my brother, who didn't take it seriously. One of my friends call my pole class "stripper class" & I know she doesn't mean any harm, but its just not right. Anyways, just wanted to hear your stories. And if you're around LA, let's be friends! I don't really have any pole friends yet! I'm thinking about going to PoleCon so if anyone wants to go with me and show me the ropes, let me know!
