New member from FINLAND !
Hi everybody ! I join you from Finland, Lahti. I am actually Turkish and moved to Finland a year ago. I am married with a Finnish guy whom I met, got married and lived in Istanbul until his got a job offer in here. Right before we moved here I’ve got offered to be an assistant in Ä°stanbul University where I studied History of Art but I had refuse it for my dear husband so he could get his dream. Since being an assistant-researcher was my dream job I got pretty depressed for a while. But now I found pole dancing that I fell in love all in a sudden. Beside, I will be attending a uni next year so things are getting all good and now there is another passion I have: Pole dancing !
If there is anyone somewhere close to me and wishing to have a pole partner I would be very happy to get in touch.

I am located in Norway, perhaps closer than many other places, but sorry to say that I am not closer so that we could practice together. I have been interested in pole dancing since I was about 14 years old and finally am going to start learning now, 3 kids one on the way. 🙂 So excited! -

I am new to Pole Dancing too, My name is Amanda and I am 25, married with two beautiful children. I first tried pole dancing at a bachelorette party back in February of last year and was hooked. I learned two move combo that night and just had a crazy passion for it. I can only do a limited amount of spins right now, still building my upper body strength. I can do A 360 spin, the fireman, the front attitude and just recently learn the pole kick. I am looking to make friends for support, I have no Pole dancing studios around in my area, so I do everything from home! -
Hi donya, It’s so nice to hear from somebody lives close to me who is doing pole dancing. It sounds like you started already a long time ago and you are probably very good at it 🙂 I have been practicing about 3 weeks now but I consider myself quite fast learner considering the progress I achieved so far. Unfortunately not having any company while practicing-learning can motivate me less and I can slow down specially when I’m not attending to any course yet which I think I should and will soon. I think it makes a lot of difference to learn with someone or in a group.
Helsinki is much bigger than Lahti and I’m sure you can find many more options and people in pole dancing. I actually thought about finding a course or group in Helsinki where I can at least join for once a week, it is no problem to travel between Helsinki – Lahti; it’s only 40-50 mins by train and I’m located 5 mins away from Lahti train station. Perhaps we can arrange a day to meet up and practice after all 🙂

Hello Amanda ! I really know it’s hard to make friends when you don’t join a group, course. I learn at home by watching lots and lots of videos and most of the time getting very jealous 🙂 That’s way it helps to practice with other people for me it really motivates me.

I live in USA, in the state of Florida. There are some studios but they are an hour drive from me. I really like having a pole at homes so that I can practice at my convenience. How many days a week do you guys do your pole spins? -
I try to do 4-5 times a week but it changes. Sometimes It can be more sometimes less. But I should mention that I have started just 3 weeks ago so… But Once I start I find myself doing for hours without even noticing how long I work.

Hi Gizy and donya, I’m also from Helsinki. Shame that we don’t live that close to you to practise together, but it’s so cool to see how people around the world find their way here 🙂
