I love the grip of my LM, but it is a 50mm, and being 5 ft tall, I can not wrap my hands around it. I Was thinking about getting a 45 LM, but thinking of a 45 tg X instead. I hear they have great grip. Any comparisons where anyone has used both? Also was thinking of a 40, but that doesn’t come in TG. Thanks for ur help!

I have not tried both, I have only used poles at the studio I learn in and the one I have at home. My home pole is the 45 tg x pole. Its great once it gets warmed up with some spins otherwise I slip right off. Always start with some spins then go into positions where your holding and gripping onto the pole. Its a great size too, I prefer it to both the 40 and the 50 at the studio.

Have only tried the 45 powder coated LM. For me, it’s almost too sticky. But the size is FAB for my baby hands. Will never buy anything other than a 45 now that I’ve tried it.

    Lyme –

If you work well on a PC without it being over grippy, it is possibe the TG won't have enough grip for you, but this is just from my experience and I may be weird. For me, TG is very similar in grip to chrome, maybe a tad bit stickier, but others find it fairly sticky. That being said, I find PC and brass very similar.

I personally think that since you already have a 45 and 50, that you should go with the 40 and have it PCed. It shouldn't cost a whole lost to do that either. We dance on PC 38's in class and they have not been a problem. The added grip on them for that small diameter is really good.

I agree with Sensual. Since you already have the 45mm and 50mm you should go ahead and get a 40mm if anything. I have the 40mm chrome and I can only imagine how great a 38mm would be. Only had my 40mm for 2.5 months and im already doing tg handsprings- im sure if i had anything bigger i wouldnt be excelling as fast.
