I did a google search and came up with no results for tight grip II, Not even on the company's website. Are you sure it's not a knock off brand?

You can order Tite Grip II lavender direct from the website. http://www.tite-grip.com . It’s the only place where it’s available, unless I see you in person in NYC. Exclusive!! Haha!
Joe Ginger didn’t update the website yet but he did start shipping the new formula instead of the old formula. I asked him to add II – lavender but his web designer is currently working on a completely new site so it’ll show soon. You will receive the lavender formula unless you email and specifically request the original formula, which is phased out.
It’s the formula he’s been working on for the past 3 years. Completely legit and way better. 😉
As for samples, he’s sending out the new formula samples as well. For some reason they’re separated inside so each sample is one time use. Mixes while you rub it into your hands. The tubes don’t have the separation problem. Guaranteed you ladies will LOVE it!

Yey! I should be getting it then because I just ordered the samples. 🙂
Looking forward to it

^ Yay! Let me know how you like it. Also remember, each sample is meant for ONE TIME use, so use the whole packet and mix/rub onto hands and contact points. So you get the full effect of the tube.

Just letting you ladies know, Tite Grip updated their site to reflect "Tite Grip II Lavender". Don't forget to apply 30-60 minutes before poling for optimal results! Enjoy! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Great post, Veena!
When I first got my pole, I was using alcohol to clean it, just like at the studio. And it just got more slippery! I called Platinum Stages, and they told me to use a cleaner, such as 409, something that isn't "streak free" — the appropriate cleaning product depends on the metal in the pole.
As the pole arrived in rate October, the cold weather had begun; I learned here at SV that it's important to warm the pole, so I got a space heater for my pole room.
Amy's article is also helpful. With the array of different metals, grip aids, cleaing products, and individual skin types, it's hard to know where to start. Ultimately, individual experience is the deciding factor, but with the information within this thread, we can narrow down the candidate solutions!

i wanted to add to this that when i first got my tg pole i was depressed how slippery it was when i thought it was supposed to be one of the more grippy finishes, after a few days of use and a good cleaning with windex it is WAYYYYYYY more grippy now. make sure your pole is cleaned very well when you get it.

Agreed. My TG pole can occasionally feel slippery, but a quick cleaning with either Windex or rubbing alcohol fixes it.
The right cleaning product depends on why the pole is slippery (from oil or moisture). I use Windex to remove body oils or lotion, and alcohol to dry up sweat. Once it's cleaned, I really don't have any grip issues. Of course I need to get stronger, but that's blamed on my muscles, not my skin. 🙂
