so about six months ago I started silks but it caused my fingers severe swelling and pain so I stopped after a month. Since then almost nightly my ring fingers and pinkies on BOTH hand are completely numb. I wake up and it takes a few minutes for the feeling to come back, plus I can’t move them either….it’s as if they are paralyzed. suggestions / advice welcome. THANKS!

No suggestions other than visiting the doc. I pissed off my hand last week and my thumb and pointer fingers are now swollen and the side of my pointer finger is numb. I'm going to the doc to see what's going on and how to fix it, cuz I want to pole!!!

Sounds like tendonitis Lyme but it needs to be checked, my thumb is still having tendonitis issues, after 2 weeks off the pole it felt good but after yesterdays session the pain is back again!

Tendonitis on it's own wouldn't be likely to cause numbness. The hand is innervated by 3 nerves. The pinkie and ring finger are innervated by a different nerve (the ulnar nerve) than the other fingers. It is possible that there is something irritating your ulnar nerve anywhere along its course from the spine all the way to the hand but quite often at the elbow which can be related to tendonitis. If you are feeling numbness/paralysis, it's a sign you should see a doctor and have it examined.
