I am so SOOOOORRRREE!!!  *rolls eyes at self*

On Tuesday I got my laptop, went to the pole, put Veena's beginner lessons on and just had a blast. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif I mean.. I couldn't DO anything Pole… but hey.. I was making headway from Point ZERO muscle  activity for YEARS..   silly me….

Unfortunately, I failed to get the message correct.  I SHOULD have only done the Strength Building for a couple of weeks.  Argh!!  Am I paying for it.https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif (Duh.. Losing!! lol)

So NOW I'm STILL so friggin sore I can barely even stretch.  I kept thinking that I'd do cardio, then pole.. ROFLMAO. .. HA!!!  I have been paralized for three days instead.  SO…

Okay.. Monday is a new week, day, etc.  I am going to maybe stretch a bit over the weekend, try to recouperate (apparently it takes a lot longer at my age) and then, come MONDAY.. I will start my two weeks of 'strength training'.

I will NOT give up!! Waa haa haaa haa. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif

I remember the first time I did a pole workout which was mainly slow controlled stretches.  It did not bother me while I was doing them but I think I was on the couch for 4 days following it.  I could barely MOVE.  Just wait…your body will soon adapt and then on days that you don't work out your body will ache!

I'm crawing around the house, 'gingerly' .. lol.  I also think since I over taxed so many muscles, the water rushing to them for 'rescue' caused me to gain a lb. or two…. grrrr.

I wouldn't worry so much about the weight on the scale…as you gain muscle mass, you will certainly see the scale move up, but not your dress size! In comparison to fat, the same amount of muscle will weigh more, so you'll see it change!

I'd also say take it easy when weight training! I really find that stuff does a number on my muscles, and I really feel it afterward!

oooh! I LOVE feeling sore!  That means I actually had a good work out.

I get disappointed when I don't feel anything the day after a work out.  Being sore also makes stretching feel soooo good.
