I am just brain storming pole room ideas and I want ideas from you all and imput. I have poles, mirrors, and a table and stools. I may need to paint the table and stools, but anyway! I would need a huge rug. I would like it to be under or at 400.00. I found one on Pier1 I love but it is 600.00.http://www.pier1.com/Rose-Tufted-Rugs—Ivory/PS28391,default,pd.html?cgid=rugs

It is so big though, so I am considering it unless you all can find one similar to size and color.

Paint. Oh boy!!! I can get a bit gaudy with my decorating and it is already a pole room with 2 poles. Need to tone it down but keep it fun. I am thinking a very light pearl gray paint. Here is the kicker. I want to add metalic flake. Pink or silver? It is an additive, so it should not be overwhelming. IDK. What do you all think???

Right now this is a dream. We are in a small apartment. But I need ideas for the near future.

Metallic pink! I think silver on grey can get a little dull looking.

See? I am not a huge bright colored wall person. I would need all my pole clothes I wore to match the wall. LOL!

As much as I would love to paint pink or Tiffany blue, I would feel like I needed to match all the time. I know! I know! OCD. But I would. LOL!!!! Now, I may have some fun with the wooden table and stools. They were hand me downs and quite old. I am thinking of doing a navy blue and shade of pink on the that!!!! And finding a fabric with those colors to redo the top of the stools! Any fabric ideas? Links??

luvlee……….sounds like i'm poling at your place!!!  My room is dark wood floors, mirrors and long red drapes.  Still making changes as I just recently decided to get rid of the furniture to make more pole space.  I have a small dark shelf for aids. The music stand and cd racks are both done in dark wood similar to the floor.  As for walls ….. I prefer mirrors lol  my walls are an light tan and for now I'm okay with that.

You have a wonderful time with it and make sure to share photos!!!!

I love a local pole studio's decore. It's very classy, even though there's animal print (Animal print has always been trashy to me for whatever reason.)

It's purple, grey, and zebra print. I'll try to dig up some pictures…

If I had a pole studio or workspace, I would want the option to have lots of lighting or dim lighting (the christmas lights) at my leisure :3 But I feel like white works best. My home studio is pink and white and silver themed.

That is really pretty.  Im transforming my theater room (so it was the wild room anyway) lol  to my poling room.  It's very comfortable to me so I'm happy.  Have all kinds of lighting options but the over head lighting is on the dimmer side.

Cool thread Luvlee. I too am in the midst of redoing a room for poling. It was supposed to be a gaming room for the kids but they seem to be happy taking over the living room. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif  I have certain colors that I am partial too but I love brainstorming about set ups and accesories! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I'm in the middle of doing this too! Getting ready to do a feature wall in damask! Gonna use a stencil and just paint it on……much cheaper than wallpaper. Benjamin Moore has this metallic glaze paint that I want to try. I'm looking for a shoe wrack and a few framed mirrors too. Can't wait to accessorize:-)………Oh oh oh and I'm getting a strobe light thingy for the top of my pole!

I love this thread!! My pole room is an ugly basement room (think cinderblock walls, and no ceiling) that also had to house all of my "mom junk", bookcases full of books, sewing machine, crafty stuff, old photo albums, etc…

So, after I drylocked the cinderblock walls, I pushed all my junk to the edges of the room and put up curtains (black satin!) that I can open if I need to get to the junk, and I painted the visable walls a deep purple. I hung white christmas lights around the ceiling for lighting! I love it down there now! I just need to get a bigger mirror. My own personal Champagne Room*!

*Note: I've never been in a Champagne Room, but this is what I'd imagine one to look like! lol

Why not both colour flecks in the paint? I would have mirrors, a mat area for flexibility, floor work practice, warm up/cool down. A shelving unit for: shoes/boots, leg warmers, accessories, cleaning supplies, grip aides, refreshment area, stable area for camera (better than tripod), music unit, computer for lessons -reminder, whatever heart desires. And a variety of lighting: dimmer, black uv light, colour, maybe strobe ( someone here mentioned it helped with speed of walking, floor work (which I am still waiting to try!!))
If you dance in sexy stilettos (like I do) non carpet a must investment!!
