    Hey everyone

Has anyone ever thought of poling in a public park near them? I don’t have enough room or opportunities to pole freely in my living room so I was thinking of getting an stage lite or something but since I don’t have a garden I was wondering if it’s allowed for someone to pole in a public Park.

    What are your thoughts??

check with your local council I guess? would be a shame to get all set up and the police move you on before you get a chance to pole

Its probably worth noting that you will likely get hassel off passers by so might be worth doing it in a big group. Also stages are heavy, mine is set up and thats where its staying for as long as possible!

I have poled outdoors in public. We were there for a couple of hours and no one tried to stop us. I’m guessing there’s no law against it! Lol

I agree it’s prob better to be in a group. People stared alot! A group of lads in a car drove back for a second look and stayed watching for a while but didnt hassle us.

I say go for it and get the x stage lite!

Definitely give it a go, people are allowed to tight-rope etc in public parks, which can require tying things to trees. So if you're simply setting a pole and stage on the ground, I'm sure it would be no problem!

I'm lucky enough to live by the beach so a few of us took a pole there for a few hours when it was sunny. We had an absolutlely fantastic time – a few stares here and there, but nobody hassled us at all. There were four of us up there most of the time though, if it was just a single person on their own then maybe people would react a bit differently.

There is definitely safety in numbers.

I have never brought a pole to a park and poled. But on many many occasions the mr and I have gone to the park for me to practice on the playground supports. One time an old lady came with her dog and looked at me kinda funny but when I got down and made nice with her dog she just ignored what I was doing and had a friendly chat with the mr while I kept practicing.
