P90X
Posted by VeeRose on March 18, 2012 at 2:31 pmI started the p90x fitness training program 2 Days ago in order to hopefully gain strength to be more successful on the pole. Has anyone successfully completed this program? Any thoughts or tips, or personal experiences welcome!

You should ask "miamishyner" here on Veena (https://www.studioveena.com/users/view/bca8a94e-d89d-11df-ab19-12313b090e12), she's pretty badass when it comes to P90X! 🙂

LOVE LOVE LOVE P90X. Did it for two years straight. My advice is do what you can. Somedays, you may only have 30 minutes to commit, and that is ok! Just keep pushin' play (as Tony Horton says). Also, definitely record what you do in a notebook. You will see progress.

I too loved P90X. I found that it helped my pole strength quite a bit. Stick with it! I know you'll be pleased with the results. 🙂

I did the first regular P90 a few years ago. After several false starts, one day i just did it and committed to it. Soon i found myself LOOKING FORWARD to working out! I know, right.
It took me about 4 months of 4 workouts a week to lose about 20 lbs. Doesnt seem like a lot of weight, but P90 took me from a sloppy size 9 (im only 5 ft tall) with saddlebags, to a flat stomached, raised booty, straighter posture and killer arms. It really works. Stick with it!
Working out to the P90 changed my body shape from “thick” to “fine”! It changed my attitude about life and changed how i felt about myself. They say a workout is equivalent to an antidepressant! Its true! I credit P90 with starting the ball for me to leave a bad relationship, too. Once i felt better about myself, anything was possible!
I had a baby 16 months ago & am ready to get back into shape and want to try the new P90. Having a little motivation problem, though
Anyway, stick to it!

I completed P90x about 2 years ago, it was a great program but took ALOT of time, and only focuses on one body part at a time. I had success with the program then went on to find Scott Sonnon and tac fit commando and his other programs! Its alot less time consuming and works your total body in each exercise. P90x was a great start but I would totally say that Scott Sonnon’s program is more advanced and will get you stronger and take a who lot less time, check him out after your done with Tony.

Heh, p90x is awesome! I credit my aerial invert to the ab ripper DVD 🙂
Feel free to pm me if you have any questions or need some motivation, I’m a Beachbody coach. -
@Sanbar – I appreciate you mentioning Scott Sonnon. Never heard of him till now. WOW! Have you tried TacGym?
-
I like to use the DVDs for occasional workouts, but I don't have the commitment to do the daily regimen.

@Aweagle, I actually already purchased tacfit gym, but currently in the middle of Scott’s Mass Assault program. I also purchased tacfit Barbarian for later use. I realy enjoy his programs they are above and beyond anything I’ve tried before. I’ve completed tacfit commando, and can’t say enough about the program. I realy like the 4 day wave set up. I believe all his programs follow this system. No intensity, low intensity, moderate intensity, high intensity then you start over. So you do some thing every day plus he focuses on joint mobility, I could go on an on an on. I Love it, totaly change my life and body.

I’ve never tried any other programs so I dont have anything to compare it to. But so far I am a week and a day into the p90x program and already see and feel results, but I have been too sore to pole 🙁

Thats great! Way to go! And way to stick with it!
My boyfriend has a different video series im going to give a try. I believe any workout or exercise is better than no exercise at all, although i am partial to Tony! -
yes i agree 100 percent. and Tony is pretty funny in the videos. every time i watch them I find something else funny that i hadn't noticed before.
