PFA Flash Cards
Posted by SharkyHill on November 12, 2010 at 6:48 pmHas anyone purchased the PFA Flash Cards? I’m just wondering if the moves on the cards are the same as what is on their visual dictionary, or if it really is worth spending $45.00 on!

I’ve heard they are the same so no, you will not need to spend the money if you already printed out the free version off their website.

What is the PFA flashcard suppose to have on it? Does it explain or breakdown a move?
-
Nope from what I’ve heard it is just a visual card with the title but see if anyone else knows. This is only what I’ve heard.

Thanks! Glad I haven’t bought them then! I have also heard that they don’t have any instruction on the moves, just the name of the move and picture.

I have them. I got them for 25 b/c I joined the pfa. They are mostly for defining terminology and giving standardized names to all the grips, leg positions, moves, spins, climbs, etc. They also classify the moves into beg, int and adv. The backs of all the cards are just lines for notes. There aren’t any explanations. I think they are worth it, but then again, I use in my pole teacher certification course. I think if you’re a beginner it’d be cool to go through them and check off all the ones you can tackle!

Cool! Thanks for explaining exactly what they are and for posting pictures of them, Angel 1201! That is really helpful!

These look like the same pictures that are on the pocket pole studio iphone app https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

Oh yeah!! The cards are on the iphone app, I just checked. They are under the "PFA Experts" thumbnail. So if you get that for 10 bucks, you’ve got the cards!! I don’t know if it’s all of them though.

I dont think it’s all of them as the reverse crescent in the pic above (not sure of the proper name) isn’t on the iphone app. It gives you a fair few though.
As far as seeing moves I’d recommend the pole dance community syllabus as it has videos as well as pics and also splits the moves into levels of difficulty
