SO IS THERE ANY WAY TO PREVENT THIS OR PERHAPS MAKE THIS BETTER. EVERYTIME I CLIMB MY POLE AND ATTEMPT TO HOLD MYSELF UP WITH MY THIGHS I GET THE POLE BURN AND FALL OFF. DOES ANYONE EXPERIENCE THIS???

ALSO IS IT BETTER TO KEEP YOUR POLE IN A COLD ROOM? IM THINKING OF MOVING IT TO THE GARAGE FOR MORE SPACE BUT WILL THE COLD HURT MY POLE IN ANYWAY. RIGHT NOW IT IS IN A WARM ROOM. BUT I FEEL I PERFORM AND HAVE A BETTER GRIP WHEN ITS COLD.

The pole burn will get better as your skin toughens up! Somedays my skin is just sensitive, but for the most part a move gets easier on the skin the more i do it.
Do you have a gold or chrome pole? I found that my gold pole worked a bit better in the cold, ones it got real warm i lost my grip but i recently got a chrome pole, i definetly have more stick when its warm..So it may just depend?

I have my pole in my garage but I am in NE Ohio. I have a heated garage but it takes quite a bit to warm my pole in the winter. In the summer it is super grippy on warm and humid days. Also if the pole is too cold then I have issues with condensation between the cold pole and my warm skin and I have no grip whatsoever. If a cooler pole works for you then I say go for it!

I have the same problem – but if my pole is cold I slip off. I’ve got to get it a little warm, and if my hands are getting sweaty I use a grip aid. I like Tite Grip, but there are tons of them out there. It definitely helps – everyone one here has a favorite! Try a couple and see what works for you. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I know this is an older thread but I am particularly sensitive on my thighs and top of my first climbing foot. I wish there was some easy way to toughen them up outside of poling altough that seems to make the most sense.
