XS also has poles in their club. But really Palms has some of the best clubs/bars in Vegas, nice eateries & a movie theatre, so you really don’t need to leave there, its pretty entertaining all on its own. Plus the expo has something going on almost every night of the expo, so I think that’ll keep you pretty occupied if you really don’t want to leave the hotel.
As far as what to wear around convention hall exhibits, I would say throwing on a sundress or jean shorts & top are fine. Usually conventions are pretty casual but as far as I know, only the gals who work the booths as models or reps really walk around in booty shorts & pole clothes in the convention hall. Remember too you probably wouldn’t want to be walking around outside of the convention hall or workshop rooms with your pole clothes on anyway, as there will be civilians staying at the palms too, so civilian guys & girls can sometimes be gawking creepers & douche bags, so having a sundress to throw over your pole clothes for when you travel between workshops is a good idea.
It’s always nice to catch a show or two if you can. Some shows that feature pole &/or aerial arts are MJ One, Absinthe, Zumanity, Peepshow, Le Reve, Ka. There are more than that of course but those are the main ones that us aerial community folks really seem to enjoy. And if you can get to Fremont street downtown one night & the Las Vegas strip to check it out, I think you’d enjoy that.
And I’d suggest bringing 1-2 more cocktail style dresses & one more pair of dress shoes. I can’t tell you how many times on the fly that I’ve been invited to a high end restaurant or to go somewhere I wasn’t expecting to go, where I needed to wear a nice dress. Especially in Vegas this happens ALOT.
