Hey Guys! I don’t write in the forums very often, but I could really use some advice! In just one short week I will be leaving my home in Florida for an 8 week study abroad program in Paris with the University of Florida. I’m really excited about this trip, and I’ve always wanted to study abroad, but I just keep thinking – what about POLE?!

I’ve thought about being a total goof and packing up a pole to take with me, but somehow I seriously doubt my new landlady or roommate will be too happy about that- if my room even has the roof structure to support one. I’ve considered looking for a studio in the area, but I really don’t speak any French and I’m pretty sure that would be a problem. I’m thinking that my best option would be to find a playground with some kind of bar contraption for me to play on… other than that I’m a loss. Eight weeks is a really long time and I would really hate too loose any of the strength or self-confidence pole has given me!

Are any of you Veeners avid travelers? Have you come up to any solutions for pole withdrawal? Is anyone from or living in France and know somewhere where I can get my fix?

    Thanks!

I'm not a traveler but I would still contact the pole studios in the area where you will be in case one of the instructors might be bilingual. I see that the studio in Milan Italy has their site in english and  one of the studios in Paris has instructors from different countries so you might not have to rule out classes abroad yet 🙂
