Does the bottoms and top of PS multi piece poles have a silicone piece liek the x pole? Will it do any damage to stucco ceilings or delicate wood floors? Any one have any problems (besides customer service) with this pole in brass?

I've tried looking on yotuube and aroudn here but I can;t seem to find any info of it regarding wood flors and stucco. Sorry if this is a repeat question.

the x pole does for sure

i dont know about Ps maybe you should ask them… and if not, you can always cut a piece of similar thing and put it under/on top of your pole

On the old style the entire bottom piece was rubber/soft plastic.  I cannot remember what the top was like.  They have changed their design though and I do not know for sure what they have.  There is someone who just ordered a bunch for their studio….I think LizzyLiz?

they do have silicone– not in a ring on the outside like an xpole, but rather the silicone/rubber (i can't tell and my pole's not nearby) is a pad on the entire piece, with nubbins.

    Thanks for the reply.

Has anyone used them on stucco ceiling?

Also for people who  have their poles, is it worth the bad customer service? After my disappointment with x pole's brass grip, I really want a good portable brass pole but I'm hearing so many bad things about PS poles that I'm not usre if it's worth it.

multi piece is tough… i had to call and get literally 4 pieces swapped out before all the pieces on my pole were of good enough quality that i would actually put it up and use it. so, if you are willing to take the time and energy, yes. also, i would say that i think their customer service has gotten better recently, but i would only get a PS pole if you are very comfortable with negotiating and being assertive and getting what you watn with customer service reps! =)  i think if you know going into it that it will be a difficult experience, you can only be pleasantly surprised.

Moonflower, how much pole time did you give your brass pole before you decided you didn't like it?

Veena: I've been on the brass x pole almost every day since I got it and I had one of the first ones in Canada. So since July. If you have been following the x pole brass thread, you can read my experience.  No amount of time will change the composition of the brass or hte finish of the pole.

Any: As long as I get a good solid brass pole that feel like brass at the end of the day, I'll put up with expending the energy. I

Thanks moonflower, that's good to know. I still can't wait to for my brass to get here! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Oh, for everyone else…..one thing I do know…. you should NOT use Brasso on the brass x pole. It's too abrasive and it has an oil in it that doesn't clean off, then the grip of the brass will be gone. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif

I just had a friend get a PS multipiece stainless and the threads were way off.  There was a good 1/8" gap on one side where the pieces screwed together while the other side was tight.  It took about 2 weeks and several frustrating phone calls to get it right for her.  This has happened in the last month.

X pole told me to use a brass cleaner to remove the oils from manufacturing if vinegar didnt; work, I used weigmans and it made it even more slippery. So don't use that either.

Chem: That's horrible.  Stories like this is why I have not ordered from PS yet. But I'm thinking what is worse? 2-4 weeks of dealing with bad customer service for a good brass pole, or great costumer service for a pole I can use but not love. I went the 2nd route already.

Moonflower, It was x pole U.S. that told me not to use brasso. Did you contact your x pole dealer and tell them what happened after you used the brass cleaner they suggested? I would think if someone gave you the wrong information on how to care for the pole then they would be happy to fix the situation for you….

Honestly, I've given up on it. I've spent the last 2 months doing everything I can to love it. When it got gripper after a few weeks, I thought it would continue improving but it didn;t. Even if they give me new brass pole pieces it wont; help becuase then I'll be back at day 1 with no grip. I'm sure some peopel will love the brass x pole, it just doesn't work with my body.

Anyway, I dont; want to derail the thread, lets keep the brass x pole discussion to the other thread. I started this thread to learn more about the PS multi piece.

Any information on the PS multi piece, good, bad, anything is welcomed. I want to hear it all.
