Does anyone have a one piece PS? Ive been reading about them and it says to measure exactly. Isnt there a little allowance as with all poles? My ceiling is 106 but it is a carpeted room. I  really prefer a one piece like LM but the ceiling plates like X and this seems like a good combo of the two.

    From their website:

Every pole is custom cut to fit your ceiling height and has a few inches of adjustment*.

I know it has been posted what that "several inches" is, but I cannot remember what it is.  The thing is you do not want to order it too tall or it will have to be cut down.

I have a one piece PS. There is a little allowance with that pole because of the inner bolt adjustment mechanism.  However, it will always say to measure exactly because you will want to maximize the length of pole. The pole can be a bit shorter than your ceiling height and slightly adjusted with the pressure mounting system (carpet can settle over time so the adjustment is key). But if you over shoot, and the pole itself is too tall, then you will need to get it cut. I am sure that if you went through the ordering process, they would want to have the height between ceiling and floor, and then they would make recommendations on the length which would include the foot and ceiling plates, and adjustor rod (all of which together account for maybe 6-8in? I haven't had mine up for awhile so I don't remember exactly).

You tell them your ceiling height and they cut the pole accordingly. It has about 1 inch of adjuster rod showing after it's up. It easy too put up, don't worry. IT can be adjusted up to 6 inches. I love my 1 piece.

My one piece had to be exact and there is no adjuster rod or anything like what some of u mentioned here for adjustment. Is it because I ordered a PERMANENT?

What I do not understand is why they charge extra for the different sizes:  $20 for a 45 mm pole and $40 extra for a 38mm.
