Foxy, you might want to see a doctor before doing any self-diagnosis. I mean that sincerely and not in a snotty way. The problem with Google is that a lot of people think they have this or that when they might not. And they might treat themselves before knowing what it is that they might actually have. Having said that, I do believe that drinking water/keeping hydrated is a great idea. I’ve also heard of people who have electrolyte imbalances that results in either excess sweatiness or excess dryness in the hands. Since I’m not a doctor, I’m not going to suggest anything. But recently I met a lady who said that nothing helped her sweaty hands (tried Mighty Grip, Dry Hands, Bobbi’s Pole Gunk, etc) EXCEPT FOR golfing gloves. She also said that there’s this chalk stuff from REI for rock climbers that is supposed to help. Good luck and keep us posted.

i feel your pain Foxy… I was diagnosed with "over active sweat glands" quite a few years ago…its kinda embarassing a lot of the time… i actually had a girl in my pole class that i had to share a pole with comment on how slippery the pole was after i used it just once… SachaPoles had this great move with using her shirt to wipe the pole during her dance…im not quite "hawt" enough yet to make it look sexy, but i know you could do it in a heartbeat!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif goodluck and keep your head up!

I actually went to the doctor yesterday. I’ve noticed that I’ve been getting these horrible heat flashes. My heart starts racing or slows down and I start sweating everywhere! My back, stomach, armpits, breasts, face, hands, feet! I mean everywhere you can sweat I do. I’ve been suffering for about 2 years. Its one of tow things. Anxiety attacks which sound about right that seems to have been onset by my dad’s death a couple of years ago. Or I may have a heart condition that my sister has. Irregular heart beats she will either need surgery or meds for the rest of her life. I had an EKG done yesterday and I haven’t heard anything back yet. He put me on 3 different meds. 2 for anxiety and 1 for heart pulpitations. He says he is pretty sure it’s anxiety and the meds will help so I will stop getting those heat flashes. I feel your pain it totally sucks. I heard the botox works wonders!

    hey foxy!
i know this is going to sound really silly…
how about trying to rub a little deoderant (anti-perspirant) into your hands before you pole? of course it would have to be one without any added moisterizers. maybe a non areosol spray?
couldn´t hurt to try and it´s something we put on our bodies anyway.

    good luck on your quest!
