My awesome pole instructor has lined up a few workshops this year which I’m super excited about, bit nervous though. We have Sarah Scott, Pantera, Elena Gibson and Jo dandridge. I’ve signed up for the first two and have just found out about the others so not had a chance to think and research. Does anyone have any information or advice about workshops with these guys?

Pantera = AMAZING instructor. Seriously amazing. I can’t speak to the other others though I have some friends who did a Sarah Scott workshop and loved working with her.

Yeah I am a little bit overexcited about Pantera goddamn queen of pole Blacksmith being in the studio at the same time as me. It’s a great opportunity and so I want to get the most out of it and was wondering what other people’s experiences were. I’m glad I have the Sarah Scott one first as I’ve not been to any workshops before so will gimme adv chance to work out what I’m doing before the Pantera one .

Pantera by far has been my favorite to work with. She really knows her shit and will give you levels to get to the give you want to learn. I have never felt like I was too advanced or not advanced enough in a single one of her workshops. I would spend money to work with her time and time again and that days a lot for someone who has gotten to a point of not paying for workshops.

Pantera is amazing I took my first ws with her and it was so great. Sarah scott is also amazing she really cares! And I would most definitely say her technique is amazing and she is a great teacher!!! The two of them I would rank as the best workshops I did. And I have done a lot of workshops! I dont know if you’ve taken many workshops but some, even the most amazing performer, are shit teachers and are just doing it for the money! I cant speak for the other two but I have had workshops with the top and they were terrible! I myself am hoping to do pantera and sarah scott again this year along with karol helms!

    🙂
Hope I helped! If you just do these two you will definitely be happy!!!

Also every workshop is different so dont think you will be “prepared” for panteras ws by doing sarah scotts. Workshops get their atmosphere from the students so make sure u have fun!
They normally cover what you want to so just have an idea of what you really need help with, transitions, combo, handspring, handspring prep if you arent wotking on it! 🙂 and make sue to read workshop description 🙂

Thanks for your replies guys. I’m. So excited! I figured they’d probably be pretty different but I have never been to a workshop before and while I like Sarah Scott. Pantera is…. Yeah. So I wanted to hav experience of being taught by an awesome pole star to try and make me be less of a pathetic fan girl for Pantera if you know what I mean? I’ll have to get working on my list. It’s been good inspiration. I managed a shouldermount deadlift twist up thing ,(twice, so is legit)*grins*

I will agree with everyone on Pantera. By far, best workshops! However, I will say that I have never regretted taking a workshop. If financially you can do afford it, do them all! You will always learn at least one thing and just have fun! You’re there to learn. Most of the time, I’m the lowest student at these workshops, but damn it, I’m enjoying the ride!

I also want to share some advice I got from my favorite instructor…go to workshops that are a little over your level. You will push yourself and learn more that way. I’ve had to sit out the last 15 minutes, but I learned so much for the future!

Also, I would suggest politely asking the instructors if you can video tape them with your phone for personal use, but don’t be offended if they don’t allow it. This is their living after all. I’ve forgotten a lot of things from my workshops and wish I had little videos to remind myself. Oh, and don’t forget pen and paper to write notes and have money in case you want to buy their clothes/swag. Have fun and enjoy yourself, no matter what!!!

Pantera = DO not miss any of her workshops. If you can do a private with Pantera DO IT! She is the best and worth every penny!
