    Hi Pole Diva's,

I have a question. I am in the process of setting up shop inside of a gym. It's a fairly massive gym and it has 2 fitness rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. I will be utilizing the room downstairs. I don't know the square footage however the owner currently has 4 poles in the room. I would like to know from the pole community what is an easier payment option for you. I come from the world of you pay upfront for 6 week classes. The classes are taught the same time every week. Because this is a gym and it's not officially my studio I was thinking about implementing a punch card system in which 1 class is $20, 2 classes are $15, and 8 classes are $12.50. However, you will have to use within 30 days. I will also be offering 6 pole classes per week and 3 non-pole classes. What do you guys think? Would you feel comfortable signing up for classes under that structure? or would you rather a 6 week same time every week.

    Thanks!

LOVE punch cards however there is also a lot to be said about a structured class where everyone is on the same page.  I will say that if people have the option to cancel class at the last minute they will so getting payment up front is extremely wise.  I cannot tell you how many times I showed up to teach thinking there was a full class to only have 1 or 2 actually show.  However, I will also say that 8 classes in a month time frame is not always do-able, especially during the summer when vacations and holidays are happening.

I am thinking the same thing right now. My studio space has 8 poles. I’m doing both. The punch card/drop in class and then offering an 8 week series class along with A cardio strength building class and a video vixen dance class.the only class with the option to pay half is the series course everything else has to be paid in full at the time of class.

Thanks @iAries and @chemgoddess for the feedback. If I implement the punch card system they will have to pre- pay because there are limited poles. @chemgoddess do you think I should offer a better rate with less classes, lets say  4 classes for $79.99? I want to competitive, but fair.

I am not sure what the going rate for classes is in your area.  Around here I think drop in fee is $20 a class and then packages get discounted.  The 8 class package is fine, however an expiration date of 30 days is too short, in my opinion, for that many sessions.

Thanks @chemgoddess1 you are great! (My husband said the same thing about the 8 classes for 30 days). I will do it for 60 days I think that is more than enough time to use eight classes. The going rate is $20 for drop in and goes down if you buy bulk however, they only give the students 30 days to use it in this area. Thanks again.
