Oh how I wish I had nice legs….

I have massive, untoned thighs and I just think that my lines would look so much better with nice legs.  I have a dance background so pretty hands and pointed toes aren't a problem but….oh how those thighs are a blot on the landscape.  I try to comfort myself by reminding myself how amazing my body is and that it's capable of incredible aethletic feats (no pun intended) on the pole but….THOSE THIGHS!!

How does everyone resolve their body hang ups?  x

I have baby belly fat. And in certain tricks it looks like my flab is trying to rap itself around the pole. So when I take pictures I always do it from an angle that you won’t see it or as much. It takes a lot of try’s to find my good side. 🙂
When I am poling I don’t really card it’s just when I video or take pics

I have big thighs AND a big stomach… Sometimes I swear the top of my body belongs to someone else because from my head to my waist I am toned and thin… Then below that my gut and thighs are like HELLO.

The answer is squats lots of them and add the weights nice n heavy turn those thighs into a pair of walnut crunchers – you will never worry about the size of your thighs again. Muscles on girls r too sexy !

I don’t have access to a gym and can’t afford it so I can’t do weighted squats

You don’t need a gym membership to do squats – just start squatting at home find something heavy to hold on to while you do them seriously its easy n cheap b creative

I have hangups about my stomach and hyper extended elbows. I have to reach down in moves rather than up/out to keep the lines in my arms looking nice but I often forget… with my stomach if I am performing I pick moves that don’t scrunch my stomach up lol when im practicing though I let it all hang out as I’d rather get a move than worry about what my stomach is doing haha. I’ve worked harder on my stomach recently and have toned up a bit but think my natural shape forbids me a decent flat tummy without living my life just eating lettuce….

Once you get to my age you won’t be bothered by those things in fact you will turn them into an advantage. I find my rolls of loose skin serves me well when doing no hands cradle.:-)

The main thing I have learned thanks to pole, yoga, and aerial is gratitude for my body. When I find myself critiquing something about my appearance, I remind myself of what my body is capable of and how strong it is! As pole dancers, we do things with our body that most people never even dream of. "Those thighs" hold you up in a cross knee release, girl! Don't hate em, thank em!

My legs aren't straight and they are pretty short and I have these bumps on my thighs (in Germany we call them riding breeches, I don't know if there's a word for that phenomenon in English as well )which sometimes bothers me.

BUT – that's a good excuse to get me new heels every now and then https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cool.gif

(Cause in heels I like my legs much better)

As a middle aged woman, there could be lots of body hang-ups! I am proud of my shape, but there are a few things I wouldn't mind being different. I fell off my bicycle 2 years ago and I have a dent on the outside of my left thigh. Right smack dab in the middle. It always looks like a bruise in videos and pics. My elbows turn inward in a "Y" shape. They never, ever look straight and can be an issue with lots of tricks, as far as stability. I have the tummy rolls that come with age. No matter how much I weigh, they will be my constant companion. I work hard and eat as well as I can. I can accept these little things because I know I'm not sitting around on my ass!
