I added 1 more pic of the bottom of the ceiling plate so you guys can see what the base and ceiling plates have on the bottom. They are fully covered with the nubbins.

Thanks for all the pics & soon to come info, I was looking into PS brass for tall ceilings, but shopping around. Tell me how you like the spin, and switch to static mode

Okay, got the pole up and running! I LOVE IT! The grip is GREAT, AWESOME, FANTASTIC, TO DIE FOR! I tried a pole sit on it and an advanced plank and honestly I cannot tell a difference between it (meaning the 45mm) and my old 50mm, but I can tell a HUGE difference on it for spins. OH MAN IT IS GREAT! and the set up was so simple. Once I got the adjuster cover off and the screw mechanism back in I got it set up so quickly. I set it up top loading because I didn't want to deal with the adjuster sleeve, but it was still really easy to set up.
Onto questions…
1) What height did you get? I got 7'11.
2) Oh and can you let me know if you feel any flex in the pole as well? Seems sturdy to me. 🙂
3) How do you like the grip? See above. 😀
4) Tell me how you like the spin, and switch to static mode. I love it. It is really easy getting it to go from static to spin mode. The spin mode is really smooth. The only difficult part can be trying to get the pin back into the hole, but it's not rocket science. You just need enough lighting over the pole to see through the hole as you turn it to find when you have found the hold on the base. I just have crappy lighting in my dining room.
I also added a picture of it set up and of some of the "flaws" that come in the brass (so you don't get a shock when you get the pole with tarnished pock marks or tiny scratches.) Brass is soft and it susceptible to all kinds of dings and stuff. You won't notice these flaws when you are dancing on the pole though, theya re merely cosmetic.

I love your enthusiasm! I can tell you REALLY really like it!
So to top load it… you just slide off the sleeve and flip the pole around? It looks gorgeous!!!
Mine goes up Friday or Saturday… Geting baseboards installed in my room Friday then have to remove ceiling fan and cap wires. I am so excited! Especially after reading about how happy you are with yours.

Yes. You pull the sleeve up, unscrew the height adjuster so it comes off, pull the sleeve off (which takes some effort, then screw the height adjuster back on. Put the base on the "top" of the pole, put the stationary pin in, then you would tighten your pole up to the ceiling mount, make sure it's level, crank it fully tight, then screw the big nuts down to the top of the pole.

Just saw it, the nubbins are a great idea!! But, i dont think your pole is straight ( the top leans to the right). Id love, love, love a 1 piece pole, but dont own my place ( so moving with a 9ft pole would be a pain)… unless, you can get extensions for it, as in on top of the pole??? Can you??
-
@polldoll-it has 6 inches of adjustment..that is what the cover is for,to cover the adjustor..
-
Actully, my morror isn't straight, so it may make it look kinda off. I checked my pole and it's level. It does appear to look off in the picture, but I think it's the mirror throwing it off. Look at it compared to my cabinet though…I don't think I was holding the carea straight, so don't look at it compared to the camera angle.
I don't own my own place either, but my apartment is about 8', which is a standard ceiling height, so if you live in a place with a standard ceiling height, you should be fine to get one. I don't think you could get extensions. The adapter on the top is permanently on.

Thanks SensualSchimtar for sharing the top load steps. I went ahead and top loaded mine tonight and much happier with it! I didn't like sliding over the adjuster cover.
Lovin' the 1 piece and how easy it is to change from spin/static.

I did! I called PS and they had me speak to tech support, they told me the spin is due to the pole not being tight enough and to give it a few more cranks. Once I tightened it a few more times… no more top rotation.
When I tighten it doing a top load it is harder for me to do since I am not turning the pole but the top part.
I love the smaller diameter, it seems so skinny after working with 50mm.
