Pleaser heels for wide feet??
Posted by HilaryKate aka LolaSlaytor on July 30, 2012 at 6:51 pmHi Veeners!
I have a pair of Pleaser knee high boots but I find they’re too hot to use much in the summer. I want to get a pair of platforms, but I don’t want to spend the money only to have them not fit! I have wide feet with a really high instep and so even with non-pole shoes, I have an incredibly hard time finding heels that fit!
I will also add that I’d like a pair that has a clear base and also has a strap either around the ankle or behind the heel (so I don’t kick them off!).I know I can’t be the only one with this problem! Any suggestions of specific styles?

I have wide feet with high arches and have tried on both Pleaser and Ellie shoes. They were both VERY narrow. Then again I haven't worn my new Sz 7 as much as I wore my old Sz 8 pair, so maybe I haven't stretched them out completely. For reference I have the Ellie style 711-FLIRT in clear/clear. Sorry I can't help. I basically gave up on shoes already, partly because of the poor fit and partly because I only prefer them for a few moves.

Lola,
I have pretty wide feet and wear a size 10 in Pleasers comfortably. In most shoes I wear a 9 to 9 1/2 so i would say go up at least a half size. Also, when I got mine in the mail (a gift from my hubby) I freaked out because the clear plastic that fits around the top of the foot was super tight. Then I spoke to some girls at the studio and they told me that you have to blowdry the plastic to make it warm and stretchy and get the right fit. I had to do that the first few times I wore them but now they fit like a glove and I'm actually happy that they make them that way.
Good luck!

Hi Ari! You wrote what I was going to suggest..Ari is right, it does work. I buy the shoes to fit or slightly tight and use a blowdryer. took on pair of shoes a while but once they finally broke in they are now my go to pair (light up skulls pair). Blow dryer works great for patent and plastic!

I have found Jante brand shoes runs slightly wider than Pleasers and Ellies. I also like Tony Shoes as well. Hope this helps….

I have super narrow feet and the lady at my local shop directed me to Pleasers so not sure how well they'd work for wide feet…

I have wide, flat feet. I recently bought a pair of Pleasers and though they are very narrow, I found that just going up one size from my "normal" shoe size did the trick. I normally wear an eight so I tried on a nine and they were snug but I'm sure the material will give a bit as I wear and stretch them out. They are surprisingly comfortable.

Closed toed pole shoes (any brand, Ellie, Pleaser, etc.) are tricky. I always suggesting going up at least one size than your normal pole open toes option; however, I have girls that run the gamut to wearing their normal pole shoe size, to those that size up TWO sizes for a closed toe option (that would be me – I normally wear a 9 in open toed Ellies or Pleaser and for closed toed, I must go up to an 11).
That being said, YOU DO NEED TO BREAK THEM IN. Wear them as much as you can, they will stretch. If all else fails, take them to a cobbler and have them professionally stretched.
My advice for a wide foot – go up two sizes.
