Pole Buddy in Houston?
Posted by Glaminatrix on February 26, 2012 at 10:11 amI've been poling by myself for awhile and just wondering if anyone else would care to join me for a jam or a regular thing. I've danced in clubs before but don't really enjoy the atmosphere and came to understand that I just like jamming with the other girls anyway. Sooo looking for a new way to jam lol. I'm in the museum district and have my own x-pole and space. Sorry I haven't posted any vids, I will do so as soon as I get brave enough. If wants, we can skype or yahoo to chat first so we can confirm each other is not psycho 🙂

Hey girl! I would like to join you some time. How are your pole skills? I still have a lot to learn but can do the basics. I find as I grow older my body doesnt want to to do what it used to lol. I work from home so I hardly get out. If you feel like traveling I stay in the Westchase/Alief area on Richmond and Beltway 8. I also have my own Xpole. You can always skype me my id is nguyenins

I'm in the area alot so that would work great. Do you have space for two poles or will we take turns? I can make space for two if I move a thing or two. I'm self employed too, that's neat. I'll be skyping you soon. I am super weak but have a few tricks up my sleeve. My splits suck and I can barely and rarely invert but I still think I rock lol

Great!!! I know that I'll be living around West Houston Medical Center side of town, but I won't know for sure until next week. My arrival date is April 7th and I'm willing to travel to pole. Can't wait!!!

I'm also in Houston and looking forward to getting my own pole. I'm currently living in the Galleria/Memorial area, but I'll be moving further out towards the Beltway somewhat near the Memorial City Mall this summer. I'll probably get a pole when I move.
I love my studio and going to open practice with those girls, but I'm always up for meeting new people and making new friends.

Pole la Teaz. I love it. I'm in level 3 (inverting) every Thursday night. I also go for open pole time on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays when I can, as well as other drop-in classes. The girls (most of them) are wonderfully supportive.

I'm in the process of purchasing another pole now, so I'll have two. Hopefully we can all get together and practice if we find a big enough space, or we can do an open pole at a studio.

I'm mostly home schooled. I have taken a few classes. I want to check PLT out. Woo hoo for two poles! I hope to get another one eventually. I have a 45 and want a 50.

If you ever want a "friend" to check out PLT with, I'm there almost all the time. At least three days a week and sometimes more. I've taken almost all their drop-in classes/workshop classes at one point or another. Let me know and I could definitely meet you there.
All of Kelly's classes are great. I love her teaching style (and music selection). Jackie was the runner up for Miss Pole Texas and I think she got Miss Technique or Flexibility or something… I don't know. She's all about good form and is great if you need help working up to something. She can break everything down to its most basic strength building parts. Yaz is very energetic and fun too. Although all the instructors are great, I must say that they really have helped me the most.
I'm planning on getting a 50mm TG X-Pole. PLT has 16 total 50mm Brass poles (two studio rooms) and one odd chrome "skinny b****" (45mm) pole off to the side in one room. I can't wait to have one at home though. I can't imagine what kind of trouble I'd get myself into. My boyfriend thinks I should find a hobby that doesn't leave me with aches and bruises. Half jokingly, of course. He knows I love it. I just bruise so easily.
