So, to all you studio owners and pole addicts; do you find it challenging to get women to drop the negative stigma of pole dancing sometimes? And since we love it so much do you think sometimes we automatically think others should too? I have been fascinated with it so much that my passion to explore my inner diva and outward one too. lol has made me open a 4200sqft studio that I would like to be an oasis for women to pamper themselves inside and out, yet sometimes I still get the look… Well, I am bringing Nicole the Pole in a few weeks because I love her style and she has a soft side that should resonate with even the most conservative young lady, what are your thoughts and why do you pole? What would you like to see in a facility. Thanks in advance

Hey there! I have been poling for 3 years at a studio and I have just come “out of the pole closet” to co-workers. It took me a year to come out to my family. And it’s mainly because I didn’t want anyone to look at me with that “look” and make “stripper” comments. I will say I participate in pole recitals for my studio every 3 months and I invite my friends and coworkers. They leave saying “I didn’t know it was like that”, yeah, that what I’ve been trying to explain all along. I think the most strange comments I got has come from women, some ask me how I stay in shape and when I say I “pole”, some responses have been “as in a stripper pole”? Then I go on to tell them how much strength is needed, along with grace, and being flexible. I have invited some out to class, and they have left with a new prospective for pole dancing.

I would love to meet Nicole the Pole, or even have a personal session with her one day. She is so strong, yet very feminine and I love her tricks.
