Having said that, if they don’t have the capacity to review all content, I don’t think automatic banning is the appropriate solution.
Exactly. I get that they have tons and tons of users, so it makes sense if they can’t physically review everything, but banning someone on a second offense that wasn’t even really a violation doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me. I think they really need to get a better system in place, otherwise it can become an incredible headache for users who haven’t actually done anything wrong.

fb hasnt given me any problems with my few pics i have up. but then i am in workout shorts and shirt. with that said maybe we should make our own version of fb but it would have the poling community. a place for polers to express themselves with family and friends. of course i guess we have that with veena!

To be honest, I don’t think it matters what you’re wearing. It’s not like FB has a dress code policy, other than don’t show up naked. There’s nothing in their policy against putting up pictures of yourself in a bathing suit, yet I was kicked off. It just depends on who sees your pictures and whether they are offended by someone pole dancing. Someone can flag your photos for any reason, that’s why it can become a problem since it seems like despite their claim that they review the situation, they don’t actually review anything. I would make sure your pics are set on friends only just to be on the safe side, and that your FB friends know about and support your pole dancing, otherwise you can run into the same problems I did.
I think if they don’t have the man power to actually review anything, than they probably shouldn’t claim that they have reviewed the situation. Be honest about it, at least. Just send a form letter saying something along the lines of ‘your account has been flagged as in violation twice now and it is our policy to ban after two offenses yadda yadda yadda.’

horsecrazy12987, I have been following your facebook problems and I’m absolutely fuming!!! It is ridiculous how closed minded some people can be. A few months ago, i read a bunch of articles about facebook regarding how they completely violate our privacy as well as their stance on breast feeding and personal freedom of expression. Not to mention the fact that some employers (or schools) check up on their employees (or students) on facebook and some people have been fired/expelled as a result. Well, paranoia got the best of me and I took down all my pictures and personal info. Now, I am no more than a piece of sushi (my profile pic) with an email attached.
Seeing all the privacy lawsuits being filed against facebook, and hearing stories like yours make me want to completely delete my account.

If it is not actually your photos it could be as someone who said…you have a hater….it seems so Jr. High but it happens all the time…and who thought people would be so jealous or freaked out by pole dancing pics??? But as we all know there are people out there who just can't help but believe all pole dancers are prostitues and trashy and must be stoppped at all costs…how stupid and insecure can a person be???? Then you have the jealous ones who rather than EVER consider trying the pole they would just rather pretend they hate it and that the only place for the pole and those that use it completely out of the public view…poor things don't know what they are missing…lol
Then they are the spammers….those are people who manage to get on your page somehow and post a close to nude pic of women usually…they really love the whole girl on girl thing. Most of the the time they actually blosck you the owner of the page from seeing it and it has a link to a porno site or video saying watch my girl have sex…the problem with those is they are a double-edged sword. If anyone sees it and marks as inappropriate or SPAM it goes against you the page owner… The problem I have found is that if it shows up on your page YOU NEVER EVEN KNOW! I figured this out after seeing a spam semi-porn pic on friends pages…I messaged them with a message like wow, I was shocked to see that sex link/pic on your wall…everytime they responded with "what picture????" of "Yes, someone told me about it but I never saw it"….so the spammers have managed yet again found a wormhole to come into on facebook users pages. Usually people who report it don't realize it will shut your page down and often they figure out whats going on and don't want to embarass you so they just click on this spam without realinf facebook assumes you are the culprit.
Its a bad situation with no real answer since spammers are so damned sneaky. So it could be someone who doesn't like you, or your pole dancing activity or just a gutless spammer out there trolling for hits on the link to his porno page. I don't think there is much you can do but I enjoy having my facebook page so if it happens to me I will inevitably do another page…lol
another suggestion is to set up a page for your pole dancing friends and activity. Less chance of someone who is your "friend" or "friend of a friend" reporting you.
I actually have 2 pages…because we all have a few bones in the closet we only share with our own circle of like friends. I follow a different spiritual path than the standard Southern Baptist Church route so I have a page where I am free to discuss and share that part of my life with friends of the same mindset. I mean my traditional family and friends freaked when they found out I attended a Uniterian Universalist church…no not a cult church lol…just a church that accepts people of all walks of life and spirtual paths without condemnation. Such as being a pole dancer is not an automatic qualification for hellsville! LOL I happen to be a person who believes that there must be a feminine side to religion because after all we women are the strongest and gentlest of the sexes. LOL Nothing too scary just different. I tend to share my pole dancing activities on that facebook page and have never had a problem.
just some thoughts….the internet is awesome but can have its down side…but please don't let that stop you from enjoying the best thing since sliced bread! POLE DANCING!!!

Disclaimer: I do think social networking can be awesome. The amazingly supportive and civilised community here at Studio Veena is a shining example of social networking done right.
That said, I loathe Facebook with a passion. The fact that you got kicked out for a violation you didn’t even commit just makes you a badass in my opinion. I fully support you.
