There are so many pole events taking place, as always, like Pole Convention, Pole Expo, Midwest Convention, Miss Texas PoleStar, and even Alethea Flexy camps!!!

Are you planning on going to any this year?

I really want to try and make an event this year, but its entirely up in the air at the moment since my wedding is in April. Not sure if I can swing taking off work so much this year.
I just wanted to take a poll and see if any of you are planning anything this year 😉

Pole Convention looks really interesting since it’s being held in Washington DC.. I even thought if I can try and make that one, then i would try to plan a little extra time to take the 2 1/2 hour road trip to NYC!! Really don’t know yet… We shall see

I am so new to the world of pole that I don’t even know where to find out about pole events. Of course I know about the events at my local studio, but as far as anything national, where do I go to see the calendar of events? I would love to attend something in Vegas or maybe LA since I’m so close. Doubt there’s anything that comes to PHX, but please correct me if I’m wrong.

@azblanco, I hope you get a chance to go to the DC event and the visit to NYC while you’re at it!

I’m saving up to go to Pole Expo this year. Several of the instructors at my studio went last year and it just looked like so much fun. I can’t wait to see what the workshops are. I also love visiting Vegas so it was an easy decision to make.

@Jesikah8- I’ve been to Pole Con 2012 in Los Angeles and Pole Expo in Las Vegas this past September. Both were wonderful events!
Pole Con is a much more organized event and had more vendors and the registration process ran so smoothly. They had it all on point. However, I didn’t care for the city too much from what I got to see of it. There was a huge showcase and after party for everyone.

Pole Expo was unorganized but still a great event. There was a competition instead of a showcase, and it was definitely more lively and energetic than pole con performances. But really, being there is worth every penny whether it’s a showcase or competition. They hosted an after-party too but it was separated… the pole stars went to private party… At pole con, they did not do this… We were altogether and were able to mingle with everyone like Alethea, Karol, and Cleo… etc.

Both events had a lot of workshops to offer for purchase. Both do offer free workshops– Pole Con had WAYYY better free workshops- they actually had free pole workshops as where, Pole Expo didn’t– Pole expo only had free flexibility and other random demonstrations out in the open in the vendor area… I was kind of disappointed in this…

Pole Expo did however, offer aerial silks, more conditioning classes, Chinese pole, fly gym, as well as, pole.

Pole Con only had pole and flexibility workshops in 2012.

Both events are the only ones I can speak for since I’ve been to them..

    😉 😉 I hope this helped

Jesika– Also, Pole Expo is held in September in Las Vegas every year. Pole Con is the one that changes cities every year… She keeps it to Washington DC, Los Angeles, and West Palm Beach. Pole Con 2015 will probably be in Los Angeles again

Coming to Toronto Canada this spring is the Toronto pole dance fitness showcase (TPDFS). An evening of performances in downtown Toronto. New venue this year I really dont know anything about the place but it should be a ton of fun.

In Canada there is also Verticalove’s Canadian Pole Dance and Artistry Showcase (CPDAS) in April in Hamilton, between Toronto and Buffalo (about an hour from each) – it will be the 2nd annual 🙂
This year Verticalove is teaming up with Pole Sport Organization to put on a competition that will take place in June, also in Hamilton.
Both events will be spread over two days and should have workshops in the days before/after. Last year at CPDAS, the guest performers were Cleo, Karol Helms and Aerial Amy and they all did workshops at a bunch of studios over the next week or so. It was a blast!
verticalove.com (the website still needs some updates but the competition info is correct and the contact info too if you have more questions about the showcase or the comp)

I am going to Expo and the Midwest pole event. There is a lot going on this year! If you can only do one, I recommend Expo. Hands down.

Polebunny, there is Michigan Pole Fest this weekend in Detroit. You missed pole at The Arnold at the beginning of March in Columbus. I would follow Infinity Aerial on Facebook as Val typically has a lot of workshops and events that she is involved with.
