Pole Jam Curiousity
Posted by LoneStarDiva on April 10, 2011 at 6:33 pmSo, being new.. could you guys tell me a little more about how a pole jam works? Like where they are hosted (homes or clubs, or studios), and anything else that is noteworthy.
THANKS

they are usually held at a studio or some venue that is rented and poles put up in. We just gather and have a good time poling and watching each other. Most of the time they charge a small fee for rental of the studio but not always. Sometimes they are limited in how many people based on size of room or studio. Sometimes they are held at bars that have poles as well.
Can't wait for the Midwest pole jam next month (which happens to also be a fund raiser!)!!!

Jams are when polers get together and have fun poling around with each other. You can show off something new you've learned/pick up new moves from others. It's just getting together and having fun basically. Think same thing as a music jam but with poles instead.

Pole Jams can be held anywhere, anytime. All you need is a pole (or more), and some poling buddies who can't wait to see what you can do, and want to show off their skills too. A small jam with just a couple friends can be held at someone's house, or bigger get togethers can be somewhere with more space like a studio, bar, or club. They can even be online, for people like us, who don't really live near anyone. You can pole jam over Skype (free for one-on-one video). Just set up your web camera, call your skype friend, and pole away. 🙂
I have yet to get myself down to the big city for a real live pole jam, but I have participated in a couple online jams, and it was fun. A couple of my pole goals for the year are to: 1. Go to a real live pole jam. and 2. Set up skype so I can pole one-on-one with some of my online friends.
