I'd love an introductory on how to practice moves (even basic) on a spinning pole.  I have an X-Pert pole and use the spin occasionally, but have no clue what I'm doing!  I'd love to learn tricks on how to keep momentum going, tips that will make moves look fluent and ideas for combos on a spinny-mode pole.  But just basics would be wonderful!

I'd like to see a couple of different stretches for splits (maybe a separate splits training section).

    Elbow spin

    Sad girl drop

    pretty and spinning descends

    slink downs

different climbs (show, side, "X" of "V" climbs)

    spin-ups (from floor)

    Flip-ups (from floor): Seen below @ 1:17

I'd love to see a highlights list for each lesson, maybe posted under the lesson.  Just a list of POC and the helpful tips for the move.  For when you've already watched the video 10 times and just need a quick reminder.https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Yay, Veena!!  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif I don't have time to read this thread tonight (it's so long!), but I am so happy to hear you will be adding more lessons.  For me, I would be most interested in advanced moves, for example what would someone who has finished all the lessons work on next, since I plan to continue this for a long time!!  🙂

    The leg trap!! 🙂

And the separate splits training/stretching section sounds like a great idea since so so many are trying to get the splits 🙂

Some moves, exercises, and routines on the X-Stage. I have to get an X-Stage since I am not able to install my permanent pole yet!!

Does anyone have/use an X-Stage free standing pole?? How is it??

Wow! I only read about half of these and I’m SOOOO excited everyone! I know it’s been said, but I’d like to see spin mode moves, combos and drops!

And Veena, I’d love some hula hoop stuff! I’m starting to get in to it but don’t know where to go! 🙂

    Can’t wait!

I agree with everyone!  I"m still a beginner, but transitions! and more routines, and how to safely 'fall' out of a move would be great!

I think the lessons on spotting are a genius idea!!  I know I'll be grateful for them once I start learning more advanced moves. My bf likes to play on my pole too, and lessons to help him spot me would be great!!

Spinny mode lessons would be cool, too! That's a ways off for me right now, but would be good to have!

Right now all I can think is Transitions, transitions, transitions! I can learn a move, but I have trouble linking them together in a way that flows.  I cant wait to see all the new lessons!!

Also, and this is a webpage thing, a way to keep the lesson section expanded – if I expand the beginner lessons and click on one, then hit 'Back' to go view a different video (not necessarily the next one in the series) and the section is collapsed; I have to re-expand it, and scroll back down to find where I was before.  Frankly, it's annoying, and a pain.  But you said those things are coming, and I can be patient.

Thanks for all the new stuff Veena!!  It just keeps getting better and better all the time!!  ^_^

Thanks for the great suggestions keep them coming!

    This thread is a year old…. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Since making this post….I have added several routines and added, transitions, new floorwork, more pole strength, more pole moves, and I'm in the process of adding the stretching and conditioning lessons I spoke about. I believe we have about 230 lessons at this point https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Would LOVE to see some of the moves pulled together into transitions.  I have such are hard time putting moves together and maybe if I see some things linked together I may have a better time getting a smooth flowing routine to music.  I end up stopping and thinking about my next move or taking extra laps around the pole to get into the frame of mind for the next move.  LOVE your lessons.  starting to see that I am making little corrections in my moves to get the technique correct because I am seeing the right way to make the move stronger.https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I am seconding (more like tenthing) the shoulder mount flip. I've watched videos on it and I can not tell if I should be pushing away from the pole at a certain point to avoid contact with the collar bone.

I think drops would also be good to add. I also like the spotting tutorial idea as I work with a partner when learning new moves.

    Thanks!
