Pole Newbie
Posted by Katastrophe on February 8, 2011 at 9:03 pmHey, ya'll!
So I've been a member for a while, but I am just now getting my very own pole. I know this topic's been done to death, but I wanted a little input. Already narrowed it down to the X-Pert or one of the one -piece Platinum Stages ones.
So ladies…multi piece or single piece? Pros and cons to both?

It is a bit agonizing picking your first pole. You'll probably be pretty happy with either x-pert or one-piece PS. Both should be safe, quality poles and that's the most important thing. I just got a used multi-piece PS pole a couple months ago and I like it.
X-pole seems to be a favorite and has been noted to have good customer service. However, I've been leary of recent threads indicating people are having problems with those x-joints. Also, X-pole requires a hex key to change between spin and static.
From what I've read, the PS customer service is hit or miss. The adjuster cover at the bottom of the newer models makes a little bit of a weird ridge (I have no personal experience to know if this is uncomfortable or bothersome). <<My PS is an old model with the adjuster on top, so it's smooth the rest of the way down >> Something cool about PS is that you just pull a pin out to switch between spin and static.
Unfortunately, no one seems to have mastered the perfect pole design. You'll probably have to deal with some quirks no matter which direction you go. If you know which finish you prefer, it might help narrow down your choice (X-pole is chrome or titanium gold; PS is stainless steel or brass).

Thanks! I think I've settled on the Titanium Gold X-Pert. Woot!

I have a platinum stages 1 peice spin/static and I love it but alot of girls have had issues with shipping ( such as broken poles from shipping, or it taking for ever to get the pole) and poor customer service. But I just wanted to let u know that I had no issue with my pole and i love it.

Hello 🙂
I have a TG Xpert and have had no problem at all with it 🙂 Delivery was super quick and they were fantastic in the customer service department.
I've heard great things about the PS poles too, minus some customer services issues.
You most likely (fingers crossed) won't have an issue with either 😉

i have both a ps and a xpert right now. im buying another pole soon and will buy again a xpert. its easy to put up and take down. no ,ore than 10 minutes. i had horrible customer service with ps and awesome care with xpole. i like expert bettter for a lot of reasons. i think it feels sturdier than the ps.
