    Hi ladies ,
I need help 🙁 I’m so desperate . I used to pole dance almost for 1 year and I was poling during pregnancy thought it will keep my strength after I give birth ; but I don’t see that. . I’m 5 weeks postpartum I started yesterday to pole . Invert was extremly difficult , I was able to invert twice but with jump and force . Climbing was horrible felt like climbing a mountain . Shoulder mount was impossible move . The only things I could do are spinning moves . My question is : does it mean Im starting from zero and would it take 1 more year to be like before 😩.every1 seems improving except me , starting from zero . Did any one faced this 😭? If yes , how long it took you to go back and which type of exercises should I do ?
Note: I started to exercise 5 days after I gave birth . All strength moves ( pull ups, plank , push-up and I started to stretch ) but thinks doesn’t work good for me

    Hey there!

Your body is unfortunately not ready to invert yet. During pregnancy, your abdominal muscles get pushed apart at your uterus expands. Your abdominal muscles are not knitted back together yet, so any moves that require a strong core are going to take time. What I recommend for my patients (more from experience than medical) is wearing a belly wrap after birth. It holds your abdominal muscles tight, increases stability and helps your body to heal. Despite what we see in celebrity world, birth is very traumatic on a woman’s body and 5 weeks is not nearly long enough to recover. Give yourself time to heal, and perhaps do some VERY mild abdominal exercises.

Hi Nusa! Congrats on your baby!

Every woman recovers differently and every birth will differ too! If you were able to maintain a high level of fitness when pregnant chances are getting back into working out will be easier. If you are like most moms working out wasn’t a priority and getting back into working out or pole dance will require TIME!. I’ve had 4 kids and was back in the gym within 2 weeks. I had normal healthy pregnancies and births. I also workout during all pregnancies.

While it’s not always dangerous for everyone to invert after baby, you will find the body and mind might remember how, but physically being ready is another thing! First you want to talk with your midwife or DR and see when they suggest you are ready to workout. With out knowing what your pregnancy and delivery was like it’s hard to say exactly what you should do.

Here’s some general info….Once cleared for exercise, one of the best things you can do is begin working on posture. There are many exercises you do against a wall to strength the abdominals. DO NOT do sit ups, or crunches yet, this is very important if you have had abdominal separation. This site has some great info for safe effective ab work. http://www.befitmom.com/diastasis_recti.html If you plan on taking the lessons here The Switch is a great exercise.

You will need to start from the beginning with pole, but don’t let that discourage you! If you take the time to condition you will avoid injury and it may come back faster than you think! As far as getting back into pole, the 30 day take off program would be suitable for you to start once your midwife/dr gives the ok to workout. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view_category/30-day-take-off

    Thanks Meggie & Veena 😘😘.

Meggie I do wear belly wrap , it really worked wooow for me . I’m amazed with the fast progress . I will give it a time and I will do mild abs exercise ❤️

Veena , I have seen Ur video & I saw how 1st U were struggling to invert but after few tries U got it , I had hope that I will be like U , but as U said ever one is different .
I had normal delivery ,I was active while pregnancy and I don’t have abdominal separation .
doctor gave me a book that include all exercises I should do for the 1st weeks and for pole she told me I can start when Im 5 weeks .
Yesterday I started to do (Jan challenge) & combine all moves together plus I was able to climb and I did air walk . I felt good & happy 😘. I will check ur lessons but I hope my country doesn’t block your website again 😤
