Pole base Problem
Ok so I have had my pole since August 2009. As i wen to take it down I noticed tat the base insert is stuck so I cant put the base plate in the carrying case. Can anyone help me pleeeeease? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

Are you talking about an X pole? The same happened with me. It sounds like your pieces are stuck or locked together.

Are you talking about the spinning mechanism on an X-Pole???
All I know is that your supposed to make sure the hex screws are completely loose and it should slide right off… Someone else had it stuck once a long while back, but I can’t remember what they did to get it to come off. I’ll poke around and see if I can find it…

Rubber mallet, very lightly to get the base unstuck. Takes barely anything and it’ll pop back off as long as your have the spin screws out.

Any chance you can explain how exactly you do this – like where are you hitting??? I’m not certain the rubber mallet will work as well with the original model XP as there isn’t as much to grab onto above the base for leverage.
When I spoke to Xpole a while back about this problem they stated they have had a few get stuck and that they jsut recommend NOT removing that bottom piece.

Ah, see I have the new one, not quite sure how the old ones are set up I just know that the adjuster is on the top.

undo your hex screws on that bottom piece of the pole, then you can pull it off of the base..
